    Hi all

    I am here again to show my embroidery work on a kurti. I have done this using ring knots as my main stitch for the flowers. Leaves are done using leaf stitch and the stems in stem stitch.

    Very delicate and neat work. Also, color combination is pretty.
    Thank you for sharing.

    @Isseelan
    Amazing handywork. I liked the closeup pic of three flowers, six stems -- it makes it easy on the old eyes to see the individual stitches, and the weave on the cloth behind it.

    Sometimes I see (and buy) embroidered clothing on the online stores. And when I see how labor-intensive they are, I wonder how they could sell it for such an inexpensive price?

    One time, I bought a shirt that is similar to the one in the picture, and then simply modified that into kameez length, and style (with side pockets too).

    I love embroidered clothing, too. Would you share links, please? :blush:

    Gorgeous! And kameezifying it is so creative! You are a woman of many talents, @Amulet. :cool:

    That pic was borrowed from the ad on the IL portal (below my avatar pic) that shows up now and then. top

    Amazon in america has many makers selling. $40 or less. India must have many many such online shops. I have not looked recently.

    I would not recommend buying embroidered-something that is on a flimsy backing -like mexican peasant shirts. Embroidery puts strain on the weave, and if it is already weak, this will weaken it further. I am sure @Isseelan would recommend using a nylon (washing machine) bag for washing such gentle-wash items, so that the yarn is not snagged with anything.
    I like bluejean shirts (lengthened) because the cloth is hardy, and they are good in snowy winters.

    Hi
    I always hand wash the embroidered dresses gently. I won't recommend washing in machine.
