You mean you read the whole book 'last night'? It talks of the Concept of Impossibility. The author is a theoretical physicist. I have a lot of respect and fear for theoretical physicists. I take a whole night to understand one sentence that they talk about! You are going up in my estimation faster than the ISRO space crafts!
You never spoke a truer word! Donkeys are not new to QPQ. In fact, they occupy an adorable status here.

Whoopity! Many insights to share and replies to stockpile ! But foremost, my obsession ...no wild contortions during cooking but listening to ambient music. So, I borrowed this book from the library "1001 Albums..". I randomly flip to a page and play the song while cooking (the tomatoes are on hold).

I barely know punk, funk, heavy metal, and yesterday's page was acid-jazz. I played Cosmic Girl of Jamiroquai band.

    She's just a cosmic girl
    From another galaxy
    My heart's at zero gravity
    She's from a cosmic world
    Like some baby Barbarella
With the stars as her umbrella

Wait ..barbarella (that Jane Fonda's Barbarella?!). When the songwriter composes such comic lyrics, he must be straitened for rhyming twitch. No wonder he shoehorned "umbrella", else what could rhyme with barbarella ...hmm ...'Her eyes like the pearly mozzarella'.

Will catch up with QPQ in the night.

Being not aware of this new jargon, I hastened to Google as is my won't and What I saw made me reel! 120 million results already and I have not even heard of this before. I was slapped with a meaning that read as 'the process of computationally identifying and categorizing opinions expressed in a piece of text, especially in order to determine whether the writer's attitude towards a particular topic, product, etc. is positive, negative, or neutral.'
I knew I was ignorant alright but never knew how ignorant I was!

That example of jayasala read with Apple and Samsung made things abundantly clear to me.

    1382 Cosmic Girl
The enormous popularity of this song made me go looking for the lyrics and I was fascinated by the lines
    I'm scanning all my radars
    We'll she said she's from a quasar
Forty thousand million light years away
    It's a distant solar system
I tried to phone but they don't list 'em

I guess so. Jane Honda and John Phillip Law drew flak. A review for sample:
"The film is ugly on so many levels -- from art direction to human values -- that it's hard to know where to begin."

I just posted [interesting shares thread] information from an interesting US-Patent that is relevant to another thread on DUI (dalliance under the influence) behavior.

You might find that post chuckle worthy.

Amazing, isn't it? Forlorn poems and folk songs gain popularity as cultural reference in a movie.

Another WH Auden reference that impressed me is from the movie Before Sunrise. I cite this movie indiscriminately because the unglorified plot of falling in love over a conversation amuses me. The movie is about two strangers spending a day together larking and bickering in the city, chatting and chatting about their observations and reflections. The whole movie is a sticky conversation.

    In one scene,

...that precursor 'years shall run like rabbits' is from W. H Auden's “As I Walked Out One Evening” poem.

‘I’ll love you, dear, I’ll love you
    Till China and Africa meet,
And the river jumps over the mountain
And the salmon sing in the street,
‘I’ll love you till the ocean
Is folded and hung up to dry
And the seven stars go squawking
    Like geese about the sky.
The years shall run like rabbits,
For in my arms I hold
    The Flower of the Ages,
And the first love of the world.’

The swift passage of time has been compared with arrows and flights but never with a rabbit's pitter-patter.

Mr Pope has been my favorite for his satires and caricatures. But since I have known his biography, I adored him more. The man endured several growth deformities since childhood which left him with a hunchback and a puny 4 ft 6 in body frame.

You would think such a man would have rotted in self-doubt with the ladies but not our Alexander Pope. He was quite a ladies' man garnering the affection of many lady-friends with his writing manners. His razor-sharp wit could not be blunted by his diminutive presence. His robes and turban lard him in intellectual airs. Tell me, how could I not be in awe with this man — short stature but long appeal.

The Vedic along with the Jewish debates are a sight to behold even for spectators.

The other day I was watching Simon Schama's "Story of the Jews" in which the most famous of the Jewish debates, the disputation of Barcelona was dramatized.

I am less familiar with the Vedic debates but I am sure they would have been as enthralling and critical to probe the truth.

This is an astounding feat! Today the debates escalate quickly with scathing aspersions by the participants that within a day both the parties feel sore and indignant. Holding a steady debate for six months calls for extreme self-possession.

In a recent space documentary, the solar system formation was explained. Mercury used to orbit near Mars (at 250 million kms to its present 50 million kms). Neptune's orbit was beyond the Kuiper belt. In the beginning, there were around 60 planetesimals to the known eight planets today. These planetesimals collided, merged, melted and settled in the orbits we observe today. Mercury was pushed into sun's proximity. It is difficult to ascertain the origin of these roving planets. In science this is known as "three-body problem". You can predict with almost accuracy the motion of two bodies (if only sun and earth had existed), but when you add a third body (say, moon), you can neither determine their past nor their future. We don't know where the Earth has started its journey. Was it closer to the sun or farther from the sun nor can we predict our planetary location in the next billion years. Who knows we might be swinging with Jupiter and wonder ...hmm ..heard Mars used to be our neighbor back in the day. The timescale of 4.5 billions years of planetary wrath and negotiations baffle me.

The acceleration in innovation is alarming! The technology is advancing exponentially!

I won't be surprised if by 3001 CE other planets were colonized and such QPQ conversations occurred between Earthlings and Venusians over hypernet.
