:hello:this song you referred to -Irumbu thirai - I had seen several times in Wellington theatre as dad as personal secretary was visiting theatres running this movie for inspection. The scene of that song is memorable one. Mother vasundara and her daughter vyjayanthimala acted together in this movie.
    Regards.

    Dear @Afresh
Thanks a lot for your nomination of (im) Perfect Day by @jskls
This thread addresses a very basic question that needs a debate. These are basically promoted by traders and business houses that stand to enormous gain. The rose traders stand to huge gain on Valentine's Day. This was never known in India. When millions suffer chronic poverty, this is not justified at all.
Incidentally this is just my personal opinion.

It's a stormy Saturday! I've already had a full morning and am looking forward to hitting the indoor track later in the evening. The day started out well, except for the fact that I got drenched running to my car after meeting up with a friend. Even that's such fun. I used to enjoy running and playing in the rain as a child. Amma always tried discouraging the rain dance with various tactics, from saying it nicely, to sternly to spanking. I continued playing in the rain because of the fun I had at the moment. One evening, she sat me down after drying me and setting up my school bag/books/shoes, etc to dry. She then explained to me why I always fell ill right after my sojourn in the rain and how it was detrimental to my health. I never played in the rain after that.

Kids understand and imbibe so much when things are presented to them in a way they can remember and understand. With my hot cuppa, I've read Neivedyam & Bhakthi multiple times already. The experience of explaining something to a child, the simplicity of the snippet and its profound meaning all made me read, imbibe and of course come here to nominate the author @Thyagarajan . The write up is brief yet beautiful and is nicely wrapped up in his signature style.
It's an honor to nominate this post for May's FP! Thank you Thyagarajan sir for this post. I had no idea about a lot of stuff you have penned so beautifully. I hope you continue to write and contribute. I appreciate your contributions and musings.

:hello:I feel hugely humbled with your reasoned nomination of this
Neivedyam & Bhakthi. Thank you for the courtesy.

You got drenched happily in shower,
When you got a trigger to think of mom.
And the you were reminded your childhood,
Rain dancing and singing with your friends.
And mom softly reasoned and cautioned you,
Reason for frequent cough & cold.
    And you remembered that mother,
    About child pedagogy,
    It is all in simplicity.
    You speak their language,
Bound to bond well with you.
    Your statement &
    You become there testament.

    BTW cuppa included
I like and love your words indeed.
    Regards.

    God loves Gratitude & Generosity.

    @Laks09 @Anusha2917
    Dear Laks and Anusha
Thanks a lot for your nomination of @Thyagarajan 's Neivedyam & Bhakthi
Laks, your nomination is an example of how to articulate your selection. The first part of your nomination was a joy to read.
That statement is a clincher. What better proof is required for the quality of pudding than eating? You say you have read the post multiple times and it is the greatest tribute for the nominated post. Thyagu never eases to amaze me with his blogs. Whether it is about a slice of life or an esoteric aspect of it, he never ceases to impress me.

+1 for @Ammu2886's you and him. She kept the intrigue well till the end.

+1 for @Gauri03's narration of her experience as a young DIL. MILs need to hone their friendship skills from the beginning as soon as DIL is welcomed to establish life long healthy relationship with their DILs . I am hoping 10-15 years from now, when most of the current DILs are MILs, IL will be brimming with only positive threads on DIL-MIL with son playing a perfect foil :)
