Dear satchi,
I have been here in IL for 4 years, posting regularly right from the time I joined IL. So far I have never seen any member casting aspersions on the integrity of moderators. It’s not just one member who can make or break this community. IL is supported by scores of anonymous members who try to reach out to the outer world, pouring out their problems financial, personal or physical, trying to find some solution, support, through this forum. Going through the different sections of this forum is one great learning experience in life, which no schools could teach.

The moderators Cheeniya and Satchi are doing an extremely wonderful job, keeping this forum alive with their quick, witty and intelligent comments- a thankless job for sure, but elevating this forum to the highest levels without expecting any rewards or awards! Thank you Cheeniya Sir and Satchi.

I like @Anusha2917 's suggestion and also completely agree with your interpretation of the implementational issue.
Another , solution could also be to , add a popular post for the month tab, wherein a winner is chosen by the Janta and the rest of the activities can continue as it is .

Dear Satchi,

Many ILites here including myself have immense confidence in yours and Cheeniya Sir's ability to make the right judgment about the finest post nominations having written many excellent snippets yourselves.

Accusing a moderator of bias, discrimination and favoritism is baseless and ridiculous accusation without any evidence. One writer suggesting my threads are far superior to other excellent writers and hence it should have been rewarded is wrong. Mentioning that one has to be in good books of the moderator to win is insult to all the winners and trivializing their brilliant piece of writings.

Take it easy. Just keep doing what you believe is right. Most of us are happy whoever wins the award. Sharing that happiness with them itself is a great feeling. A member nominating a thread itself is an honor and if it is nominated multiple times, even better. Frankly, the purpose of this award is to make many other writers including new ones to write more. The ones who write here regularly for years are writing for their own satisfaction and they are responded by the fellow ILites with great love and appreciation.

Let us move on.

My younger child always wants to be the one to win. He is too young to understand that he cannot be the one to win all the time. Others will have their turn in the spotlight too. When he grows a little older I want him to be able to cheer for other’s victory.
I am surprised that anyone feels entitled to win the “finest post nomination” . Don’t get me wrong , I won it for my first post here and it made me happy. My world would not end though if I didn’t win it. The goal of IL is to vent/share experiences/seek solutions to problems that cannot be discussed in the real world and help each other out. I hope all the adults here realize that and make IL a worthwhile experience.
My suggestion would be to discontinue the finest post nominations and awards. Let people share their experiences/ emotions without the need for validation or recognition. Validation in the form of likes and comments should be good enough ?
