    Think about this:

The more you study, the more you know
The more you know, the more you forget
The more you forget, the less you know
The less you know, the less you forget
The less you forget, the more you know,
    Then why study at all?

This used to be a favourite 'logic' when I was in school. It was so oft repeated that it has stayed in my mind even today! :p

Today, however, (I still study, nonetheless) I thought one needs to modify this ditty.

I am watching "Our Planet" on Netflix. As usual an extremely well researched series with phenomenal photography and loads of information. However, information has this uncanny way of making me worry. So when I see the polar caps melting, the frozen seas vanishing, it worries me a lot. @Gauri03, are you listening? I was thinking the ditty needs to be modified to

The more you read, the more you know
The more you know, the more you worry
The more you worry, the faster you age
The faster you age, the faster you forget
The faster you forget, the less you can
The less you can, the less you read
The less you read, the less you know
The less you know, the less you worry
    So why read at all?

Having said which, I am returning to Netflix to watch how I and future generations are going to get destroyed very soon and hope that Mother Earth will get some 'me' time away from all these pesky, dim-witted children of hers.

    @satchitananda ,

Some documentaries and films trigger a lot of mental turmoil and unrest. Anxiety build up is a common malady. They make us question our lack of initiative and efforts in the right direction. In this context we can safely assume, Ignorance is bliss!

"The more I know, the more I care" may be. But unless I can change everything I would definitely worry.

:hello: when we know we don't know we know it is worrying.
    2. But again we held rather recently ignorance is bliss. Thatz why in childhood we were happy a lot.
    3. We know the same thing diffrrently through ages. We discussed forgetting. Now it is worrying to know why know and and forget and speak more or less of it.
    4. But you know
"child is father of man": as we grow we tend to be kid...it reminds me MAN THE UNKNOWN authored by a noble laureate.
    5. You know more of IL'ites and you worry less or least about that knowledge ! Life goes on with less & less worries as i know more and more knowledgeable IL'tes as their posts and Fbs reveals.
    THANKS AND REGARDS.
God is knowledgeable a d never has time to worry snd so he remains OMNISCIENT.

    I concur!
But the problem is that in this yug of the world, depending on the families you are born into ,one cannot excuse oneself from reading and therein start the problems ;)!

But seriously once, one starts thinking of all the ecological imbalance, country environments , technological advancements, AI (and how it is enslaving us).......... the list is endless and then you wonder wouldn't it be better to just be out in the sun ,growing your food and socialising with the community!

But then again with community comes gossiping and other forms of human engagements and relationships ........and then there come people who have different set of circumstances ,which do not allow them to live in harmony with societal rules, also society/community forces them to distinguish themselves by berating them....then they need to channelise their human energies into other 'better with purpose kinda pursuits '.........
and then the definition of social climbing undergoes change and then we are back to where we started!
The last word being "its tough to be a human'!
i think i made no sense there but will edit on this later ;)
