Not sure where you work, but in some places, there is child care that is cheaper. You need not completely give up on working because of your baby. You will first of all need a plan.
1) You don't have to move out immediately. The first step is to work towards independence. Make a list of your qualifications, past experience, get any references if possible and create a resume.
2) Look at online job opportunities . Pay attention to any of them that let you work part-time etc.
3) Start looking for child care centers nearby. Some of them may be economically viable. Check with friends /family if someone can help.
4) you will need to start saving up and build some financial base before you move out. You dont have to just walk out right now. You need to be smart about and act on it.
5) If you are unqualified or have trouble getting a job, look for the different schemes that the govt has put up for women. I personally know of a lady who got a loan to start a home based business . Look at all the options that banks/govt and financial institutions provide for support of women.
6) Start "building" your case. If abusive, start documenting dates and proofs of abuse. If not, make notes - dates / incidents . These may seem trivial and silly, but when you actually have to go to court, these are valuable.

As yellowmango suggested, exit should be a long term plan. This will make you more confident.

 

No, this is not true. You may receive much more since you have a child and you are not working anywhere. You need to get in touch with a lawyer immediately. Where do you stay?
