In Bangalore there is a popular sandwich place called Hari Super Sandwich. They make awesome sandwiches . Chocolate sandwich is one of the specialities.
I am appending Chocolate sandwich to your list.
Apply butter to bread slices, place chocolate square in between them and toast it. Yummy Chocolate sandwich ready! Not only small kiddos even big kiddos enjoy it :p

It is vital to have some protein along with carbs, fat and little fiber for a healthy growing child. When one makes a meal just make sure to include a bit of everything to provide healthy and well balanced meals for kids to enjoy. For some fiber include a fresh fruit or a salad with each meal.

    Here are a few ideas...
    1. Instead of potato sandwiches ( potato and bread are carbs) try making chicken sandwiches with some cheese and fresh veggies to make a wholesome meal, vegetarians can use soya chunks.
    2. Cutlets or cutlet sandwiches are a great option for kids lunch box (mixed veg cutlet sandwiched in bread but again that’s only carb and fat). While making the cutlets add minced chicken or soya granules to the vegetables, grill on a pan instead of deep frying these to retain the nutritional values. One can also make grilled rajma or Kabuli Chana cultets. One can apply little mayonnaise or cheese to the bread slice for some fat, place the Cutlet and top it with a few tomato, onion slices and even little avocado (avocado is a source of good fat and is good for health when eaten in the right amounts), grill the sandwich if you like.
    3. Frankie’s or kathi rolls.Use wheat flour roties instead of maida roties. Apply a beaten egg to one side of the roti and cook till the omelette gets done. Filling can anything - chicken or soya kebab/Chana kebabs, some fresh veggies - onions, tomatoes and some lime juice, roll it and pack in a lunch box.
    4. Spring dosa - instead of regular potato masala dosa, try making a dosa stuffed with colorful veggies that goes inside a spring roll.Make sure to use soft dosas for lunch box.
    5. Sprouts chaat - sprouts mixed with lot of veggies like onion, tomato, carrots, bell peppers, cucumber and seasonings of your choice. This can be included as a side with any good meal or used a main meal.
    6. Dosa - instead of serving dosa with some classic chutney, try packing a soft cheese dosa with some chicken curry/soya Kurma/chole in lunch box, could also stuff a soft dosa with keema matar or soya keema matar instead of potato masala.soft egg dosa - after spreading the dosa batter, pour a beaten egg and cook on both sides.
7.Idlies with vada curry (try using steamed dal vada instead of fried dal vada while making the vada Kurma to retain the nutritional value of the lentils).
    8. Fruit chaat - a variety of cut fruits can be skewered on tooth picks. This goes as a great side with a meal.
    9. One pot meals - mixed vegetable kitchdi with peanuts and cashews, Keema rice with chicken/mutton or soya, Kabuli - biryani with basmati rice and Chana dal, boiled egg biryani.
    10. Baked whole wheat vegetable or chicken samosas as a side. Can be served as a main meal by including Chole or ragada (peas curry).
    11. Dahi vada - urad dal vadas soaked in Dahi tadka.
    12. The humble parathas - whole wheat parathas stuffed with mixed veggies/paneer/grated boiled eggs/soya keema with potato/radish/cauliflower/chicken or mutton Keema with potato.Dal parathas - mix wheat flour with any cooked dal into a smooth dough to make dal paratha. Palak paneer paratha - mix blanched spinach purée in wheat flour while making the dough and stuff the paratha with paneer.
    13. Bondas make a side dish- made with idli/dosa batter, Besan and potato-mix veg/chicken- mix veg/soya - mix veg need not be deep fried. These can be easily made in ponganalu( paniyaram/paddu) pan using little oil.
    14. Bread/roti omelette can be creatively made for lunch box.Try making cheese/spinach/folded omelette/omelette cubes by steaming the beaten eggs in a tray and pack with roti or bread.Stuff a half cooked plain Paratha by slitting it and pour some beaten egg and cook to make omelette paratha.Dip a bread slice in beaten eggs and cook till done, make a large hole on a bread slice using a sharp cookie cutter or a Katori and drop an egg in the hole, cover it with remaining bread slice and cook. One can also drop an egg on a large bell pepper ring and cook.
15.Keema pav - minced chicken/mutton/soya with lots of veggies made into a curry and served with pav.
    16. Vada pav using bondas made with Besan, potato, mix veggies, soya Keema or chicken Keema using a ponganalu pan with less oil instead of deep frying.

When you cut the fat down by opting for baked, grilled, shallow fried, steamed versions, include a small side that provides fat such as guacamole, boiled egg, cheese sticks, few nuts like almonds, cashews, peanuts, walnuts, pistachios.

    Garlic thepla

Theplas are very delicious spicy chapatis from Gujarat they taste best with any pickle especially the Gujarati mango pickle, Chilli pickle or Chundo. They are excellent while travelling and stay good for 2-3 days. At home, we enjoy theplas often. Taste wise it is slightly tangy and spicy.

    Ingredients

2 cups of whole wheat flour, 2 tsp curd/yoghurt, 1 tbsp chickpea flour, salt to taste. Ginger-garlic--green chilli paste (1/4 inch ginger,3-4 flakes of garlic and 2-4 green chillies), ½ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp dhania-jeera powder, ½ tsp sesame seeds, water, oil to mix the dough and to cook theplas.

    Method

    1. Mix a dough of chapati dough consistency. Rest it for 15-20 minutes.
    2. Roll out small chapatis, slightly thicker than regular chapati,
    3. Roast both sides by adding oil.
    4. Thepla is ready to serve

    Notes

    1. If you are taking Theplas while travelling, use a little more oil than normal while roasting. This will keep theplas soft and prevent spoiling.
    2. At Mumbai and Gujarat, one can get small garlic plants in the markets during winter. If you are using them, discard the roots, finely chop its leaves and the bulb and use in theplas. They taste great.
    3. To make Dhanaia-jeera powder, slightly warm and powder Dhania (coriander seeds) and jeera (cumin seeds) in the ratio 4:1
    4. The original Gujarati theplas are hardly about 4 ½ -5-inch diameter. I have made bigger theplas to save time.
    5. I have served Garlic Thepla with Karnataka style lemon pickle (oil free)

    Methi Thepla
The procedure remains the same as above with a little change, ie., reduce garlic a little and add some chopped fresh methi leaves. (Fenugreek leaves)

    Doodhi Thepla (Bottle gourd Theplas)

The procedure remains the same as in Garlic Thepla mentioned above with a little change, ie., reduce garlic a little and add some grated bottle gourd. Since the vegetable is rich in water, you will have to add water judiciously while kneading the dough.

    Khichdi Thepla
The procedure remains the same as in Garlic Thepla mentioned above with a little change, ie., some leftover Khichdi is mixed with the thepla dough and kneaded well before making the theplas.:tonguewink:
