    Hi ladies ,

I'm looking to buy a juicer. I stay in India .
So can someone suggest a good brand. ?

Grinding in mixxie and straining is cumbersome. So I'm looking to buy a juicer.

Online reviews aren't helping me much to decide. Any brand you people have used and can give suggestions?

    P. S I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right forum. So excuse me if I'm posting in the wrong forum.

    Regards,
    Anusha

Around 10 years back my parents had bought Philips juicer. We hardly used it. But we felt there is lot of waste/ fibre coming out and felt guilty in throwing so much of waste :yum:. But there is no headache of straining !

I have a Philips juicer mixer grinder all together. Juicer is pretty good but too much pulp wastage so we rarely juice anything and eat whole fruits.

Thank you people for the suggestion. This is exactly what I have been hearing from my relatives too.. They suggested Philips one and also said lot of fruit gets wasted. I'm still thinking whether to go ahead n buy.

if there is no water problems, and you are ok with the nitty gritty washing the parts, you should check a juicer. i juice a lot these days. depending on my mood and place, i use a juicer, or a mixie.

a mixie blends, while a juicer juices.. while in the mixie you have to strain it.

I have a black and decker centrifugal juicer for the last 10 years..i would go for a slow juicer, for the kind of foods i juice these days.

do your research. and if it helps i will be posting a picture of comparison of a juice that was done in the mixie and juicer..for reference..

Years ago, we had used the "french press" for straining. These days such things are so-cheap in amazon, or Ikea. This "strainer" can remove big fibers, but let small ones go through. This is good for children, because fibers help the child have a smooth, well functioning alimentary canal.

Blend using Sumeet mixie, put the blended puree into the french press, and slowly press the plunger down. The lower viscosity juice with all the micro fiber will come up. Healthy for the child. Prevents colic suffering, sleepless nights, and lots of crying due to stuck things in the stomach.

here is french press link to buy it in india. Other more xpensive brands are also available:Buy 3d Creations Glass French Press Coffee Plunger, 3 Part Superior Filter Bpa(Clear and Silver Handle, 600ml) Online at Low Prices in India - Amazon.in
