Watching now...'A place called home' - nice drama. 2-sessions of 'The good karma hospital' - Nice setting, loved it.
Agree, could very well be "inspired from real - life events ". Here is what holds true for a country like America - nothing good being done comes for free. Everything has a motive - from spying on people through smart phones and numerous apps to being used as Guinea pigs for research . Has anyone else noticed that what ever they search/ browse on shopping apps starts showing up on social media suddenly ? And lately I feel that the smart phones can listen to one's conversation too . Like something mentioned while conversing shows up on fb feed or advertisement and I am like I was just talking about this yesterday. Creepy .
@Deborah I finished HoC over the weekend; I must admit, it completely went over my head. I simply couldnt understand whats happening and why its happening. Spoilers below, stop reading if you havent finished House of Cards. I can understand Clair and Doug after each others blood and what (not surprisingly) happened at the very end. I simply didnt understand so many additional characters like Jane (she was useful), Catherine Durrant, whats that lady's name who had adopted (not legally) a boy...? I didnt understand all these 'loose ends' that she keeps referring to. She went on a killing spree, exactly what she did. Even Petrov seemed more human for the love of god...She remined me of Cerci Lanister.
That was my husband's reaction too - " ye ho Kya raha hai ? " IMO , Claire wanted to finish off everyone and anyone with a link to her dead husband , so that whatever he had done doesn't rub off on her and she comes out looking all innocent , which we all know she isn't at all. She had a big role in everything her husband had done . All the people she killed were " loose ends" who were somehow in hand with her husband or knew what he had done . She is shown as being two steps ahead of everyone .
Final season shouldnt have released at all. Nothing made sense. The timeline of everything and Claire getting pregnant . Where did these shepherds come from ? with that much power to influence, why were they not introduced well. too bizarre.
Exactly! This Shepherds' thing didnt make any sense. The previous season ended pretty well with Claire already a president and then Frances not getting the presidential pardon. Its probably more to do with the technicalities like contracts with Netflix, paychecks for the actors etc. Claire didnt come across as strong at all.
