Nandu is getting adjusted to new environment, one day she entered the college with her friend and one senior called.

Hey come here what are your names tell me?

Nandu told her name

Are you junior?

Yesss murmered Nandu.

Where are you staying?

She told her hostel name.

Ok, campus hostel , sounds good, you both come to the park opposite to your hostel at evening 6 PM one more senior girl came and told.

Why should I come there? I don’t want to come said Nandu.

Do you want to face sequences after that? Do you wish to study here or go to your home back? She replied.

Nandu got scared for a sec and took back.

Ok , we will come said her friend Latha.

That’s good, learn from her and they left, she turned back and said at 6 PM evening don’t forget.

Ok we will not forget said Nandu’s friend.

Nandu got irritated, why did you commit with them? What will they do there? Ragging? If they want , they can do it here.

No Nandu, It is very strict in college, so they will not do it here.

Come, let us go and tell principal then.

No way, are you mad? If you tell other seniors wont leave you. Your life will become difficult going forward to survive here.

Once or twice, they will rag and leave us, you don’t worry Latha said.

Even Nandu got scared, her mind is not thinking properly, she is far from family , upon that If she brings any problems, her parents will be upset.

She joined her friends in lunch and they started discussion how their ragging going to be in the evening.

Why are they doing Ragging there? Questioned one friend.

You know what, this is womens college, they can’t do much here, but when we go to park, some boys from boys engineering college will come there.

So it will be fun to rag there for them she said.

Who told you this? asked Nandana.

One of my friend told me this, some times they ask them to tease those boys as well.

What? Are they mad? Nandu said.

No, it is fun for them other friend said.

What fun? How will the boys react?

They get angry some times and those incidents too happened.

Oh My God let us see what they will do with us today Nandu thought.

After the college she got freshed up and went to the park with her friend Latha, some other junior girls are also there.

They are asking them to sing songs and dance.

As soon as one senior saw Nandu, and said why this late? Do you know time is 6:30 now.

Sorry Mam said Nandana.

She got ready to sing a song, so asked which song to sing mam?

That senior girl called other senior girl and showed Nandu, when I asked to come to park this morning to her, she questioned me.

Is it? Said other senior.

Yes and she is late too today, so I think we should show what we ar?e said the senior girl.

Ok,hey come here, she called Latha and asked her to join in other senior group who are ragging other girls.

You come here, she called Nandu.

Nandu went near, what did you say your name tell again ? questioned senior.

Nandu said Nandana.

Tell me your full name

Nandana she said.

Ok, you have punishment now she said.

Nandu looked at senior with surprise.

She called other bunch of senior girls and they discussed the plan.

Nandu couldn’t hear what they are talking, but she understood that something is serious.

One senior told, are you mad? Teasing is Okay but this is too much, do you know about him? When one girl who tried to do friend ship with him and proposed him, he was angry with her that day.

She got a good class from him. He will become serious, what If he slaps her?

Let it happen what ever, she is stubborn girl, we will have to teach a lesson to her.

Hey Nandu, do you see group of boys there? Asked senior

Yes, they were discussing some thing seriously.

There is a tall boy , in blue jeans and white shirt , can you see him?

I can’t see him, he is looking at other side Nandu said.

Yes, take this Rose and walk back till you reach him, after you reach him, Don’t turn back and propose him with these words.

They handed over a note to her.

What do you think of me? Nandu got scared.

I cant do such things to a stranger, what if he gets upset or angry with my behavior?. I cant face such consequences.

If you don’t face those, you have to face other consequences, choose whatever you want.

Do for fun Nandu, you will not see him again, but you have to see us always in college for next 3 years, think about it.

Nandu didn’t know what to do, she remained calm.

You have no option Nandu told seniors.

Nandu didn’t had any other way, she is getting scared to propose at same time getting scared with seniors too.

She took the rose and note and about to start walking back.

One of the senior told, after you go near him and tell that this is a ragging, then see what we will do?

We will follow you and hide behind the tree and listen how are you proposing to him?

Nandu got puzzled, she thought to go near him and tell that it is ragging, but now these seniors are following her, she has no way to escape.

What is going to happen? He wont spare, said one other senior.

Let him not spare, it is not for us , what ever may be the heat ,that this junior girl will face it. Let us enjoy fun they thought.

Nandu’s legs are shaking and she is shivering and walking back, those girls followed her and stood behind the tree hiding.

Nandu came near to that boy and stopped, took a deep breath, seniors waved at her to propose, he was busily chatting with other friends.

Nandu came near him and opened the note memorized the lines and said

I cannot forget the moment ,that I saw you for the first time,

Each time I open and close my eyes, you are infront of me, with me.

The moment you are away from me, my hearts skips its beat.

I always want to be with you for ever , forever

I love you and I can’t Live with out you and she turned back and gave the rose

He turned back after hearing her words, both looked at each other shocked, surprised, happy for a second.

Both have no words to talk, they stood like statue.

Seniors are waiting to see , how is he going to react…

she came to senses first and screamed Vinni…………… Oh my god, I can’t believe my eyes.

He is surprised, lifted her up and said…………Nandu I can’t believe you are here………………. What a pleasant surpise…………
