Hello, After a lot of contemplation .... and issues with getting helpers ... I am wondering if dishwashers are really helpful for Indian homes? Due to my back problems, I am advised against doing a lot of activities ... but getting reliable help is a tough ask here! So, is a dishwasher really useful in Indian homes? If yes, what brand do you recommend? I am considering Bosch as it comes with menu for Indian homes. How is after-sales service for Bosch? All inputs and suggestions are really welcome ... especially, if you're using dishwasher ... I would love to hear from you. Thanks a lot
Yes dishwasher is very much useful in Indian house. All brands are good. Bosch n Siemens r practically giving the same machine features. Getting a dishwasher has been one of my best decision ever.
If you have back pain, loading and unloading the dishwasher could become an issue. I use dishwasher 80% of the days. I like it for washing the umpteen spoons, plates, bowls and glasses we seem to go through everyday. If the number of small utensils are less, i prefer to hand wash. I use Bosch and has found it effective in cleaning 99% of stuff I put in. I buy 'finish' products online since I don't get them in shops where I live. You need to migrate to stainless steel kadais and cookers if you want to keep them in the washer. This is anyway better for our health compared to aluminium utensils.
Thanks a lot for the replies Now, I am sort of liking Bosch Dishwasher ... but their support isn't very good .... but I have good experience with LG support and have used their service for my washing machine .... now am wondering if I should go with LG for their after sales services as we might service or visits for fixes with appliances of all types and kind. Let me know what you all think and if you had good results with Bosch service in Chennai. Thanks a lot
Hi Sorry to post like this. I also have a Bosch dishwasher. Its not cleaning well. What do you think the reason will be?
Can think of following reasons as to why a dishwasher wouldn't work. 1. Arrange vessels face down, angle facing inwards. No layering or overlapping. 2. Remove food remains that does not dissolve. Otherwise it would get sloshed around. 3. Burnt on dishes would need manual scrubbing. 4. Buy machine recommended cleansers and salt especially if living in hard water area. I use 'Finish' slightly more than recommended half load for a full load and it cleans fine. Almost always use auto mode unless I am in a hurry. Then I use express mode.
