My Toddler Keeps Getting Sick

    Right now am writing this post with aa swollen face due to heavy crying for the past one hour...my daughter was admitted last week in hospital due to dysentery and vomiting...she was in hospital for 3 days and I saw all the pain the little one endured every time they pierced her skin..and that is the worst thing a moment has to see...she has lost weight and is infact so weak and underweight for her age.. all this because of a eating out in the roadside episode that went terribly wrong...I keep rethinking of it and my unforgivable mistake of doing it...it was Appolo hospital she was admitted in and the food they provided added to my woes...they provided rice with ice cold curd and the no sense me fed it to my daughter as we had no other sources of food and she developed a high fever, a secondary infection...which resulted in flu as well...she was discharged on antibiotics and she slowly recovering...
    Now as a rude shock she is having fever once again...I am devastated clueless and dead from inside...how much does God want to hurt my lo..had he sucked my blood I would be more than happy to surrender..
    Friends is there anything I can do to be a good Mom rather than crying...I have done everything I can..but am being brutally defeated everytime...please pray for my daughter dear ladies..

    OP,
    Many kids go through such sufferings due to unhygienic conditions and/or low immunity. It is through these processes that our immunity builds up and make us stronger. I can understand your pain as I too have undergone this trauma many times. Believe in the almighty and your prayers, your little one will be fine in no time.

    My son was earlier prone to frequent cold, coughs and fevers. I started giving (soft) codliver capsules to my son the moment he learnt to swallow them and that improved his immunity a lot. The positive aspect of fevers is that it is telling you that the body is fighting the bacteria and the viruses and that is good news! Monitor your child at regular intervals, medicate as per doctors guidelines and ensure that her fever stays below 101-102 degrees. Wet sponge with luke warm water, keep her under a fan or in an ac room whenever the temp crosses 101 degrees. This ensures that the fever stays controlled. Shivering, if it is there, is an indication of rapid rise in body temperature/ maleria..., So contact your doctor immediately. Be brave.

    You must be scared and terrified. I feel very bad for you. Unfortunately I am not a Mother, but I can imagine it must be terribly scary to see a helpless, innocent child suffer this way. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Your little one will have speedy recovery!

    Hugs to you! Please dont be so hard on you. Your daughter will be fine soon.. will pray for her speedy recovery. You take care of yourself. Only if you are stronger you can take care of your LO. So be a good girl.. stop crying.. eat well.. sleep when your daughter sleeps.. come back and post here that you and your daughter are back to normal..

    I dropped in to say a big thanks to all the wonderful souls who prayed for my love..may God bless you and your families in abundance...
    Fever is under control as I am giving combiflam every 6 hrs...she is active but eats v little...I pray God for every spoon she takes...after 2.1 years, I understood how much I have fallen in love with my daughter...I don't have any expectations from this angel...all I want is wherever she is she has to be fine.. death doesn't seem fearful anymore and if required I can happily die for my daughter...

    Good to know that she is doing well... Thanks for updating here.. May God bless you and your little angel with good health and happiness always!! You shouldn’t be talking anything negative even for you... when you are this emotional don’t think much... when you get better come back here, will tell you why you shouldn’t be talking/thinking like this.. Till then take good care of your princess and yourself.

    Dear its good to know your little angel is recovering. So you are also recovering from fearful thoughts. So don't think anything negative. Be positive when you see a positive improvement. Embrace it and talk positive. Thank god.

    Take good care of yourself. Eat well, take rest when she is. You need energy to run around and play with your DD again. :)
