For the past two months I have been receiving whatsapp messages that apple seeds contain Hydrogen cyanide, a poison causing instantaneous death.While all web sites agree to the basic fact is stated that the seeds have a hard core or shell.If taken as such it will not cause any harm.Even if children bite ,the HCN content is minimal and it may not cause any harm.In many shops pieces of apple along with seeds are placed into the mixie jar, the filteres and served.What is the guarantee that the juice does not contain cyanide? Why didn't the Govt issue any warning circulaR in this regard? Members may please share their views. Jayasala 42

I remember to have read about various varities of Apple in Readers' Digest English Magazine a few years back. The american or british author had stated thrtein that A large collection of Apple seeds constitute enough poison cyanide to kill a person.
