Gasgase Halwa is a healthy and tasty sweet. Normally it’s consumed morning in an empty stomach to reduce the body heat.
Can eat it as and when you wish ;)

    Ingredients

Poppy seeds : 100 gms or 3/4 cup
    Milk : 3/4 cup
    Ghee : 1/4 cup
    Sugar : 1/2 cup

    Method
    1. Soak the poppy seeds overnight or atleast 5-6 hrs with water.
    2. Next day seperate all the water and grind the seeds with very little water (It doesn’t require much).
    3. Take a pan add little ghee and add the above mixture and stir well in low flame for around 15 min or until you get brownish colour.
    4. Add the milk and sugar and keep stirring continuously until the sugar melts.
    5. Add the remaining ghee and mix for around 10 min or until all the milk is absorbed. Keep mixing until the halwa stops sticking to the pan .

    Note
    1. Ensure the pan is thick and keep stirring continuously else it might get burnt .
2 . Can add some chopped nuts to it .

    Good one.
Replace sugar with jaggery and increase milk and water, you have Gasagase payasa!

Shravs, you need to add one caution! ;)
Since khaskhas induces sleep, eat Gasagase halwa only on a leisurely Sunday and go back to a heavy heavenly sleep!!!!
