When kids grow up without father, do they lack some personality traits that would have shaped them differently especially during their formative years? I would think so. Male perspective is needed to balance things out.

Men tend to seek justice purely from the principles of justice while women tend to go by whom they know, how long they know.

How does this fit here in my travails? I have been fervently hoping that my children will have both father and mother growing up and evolve as mature individuals with right mind set.

Yes, you heard it right. Doctor says we will have double-trouble aka twins. This is pleasantly surprising because wife conceived naturally this time without any help of fertility treatments. In our previous attempts (natural or medically assisted), she never had more than one but this time it is two. Bhagwan deta hai toh chappad phad ke deta hai ( when it rains, it pours)

Your mother is a true inspiration to stay unshaken come what may.As kids understanding the whole scenario and giving importance to the academics is great act too.
BTW congratulations for the double dhamaka.

TWINS !!! Double congratulations to you and your wife.

So...Double couple time, more help (cooking, cleaning etc..), more emotional bonding, pampering, love and what not from your side- the would be father:grinning:. It is a lot of work for your wife which I doubt you will understand it fully, but please try. May both of you have a great pregnancy period. Its beautiful period. Enjoy it well. Bond well and try to understand each other well. Don't miss the ultrasound days ( I still remember it, very exciting). Best wishes

Thanks for sharing your mothers story- very inspirational. She showed how a woman can manage everything alone and lead a respectful life by doing handwork and by having a strong determination to succeed.

Thanks ! Maharani (queen) is resting well. Cooking/Cleaning/Dish washing/Laundry etc is all on my shoulders from last 12 weeks once the news was confirmed. I work from home on Wednesdays and Fridays, so I insist her to drop and pick her from her work those 2 days (I will make it all 5 days once she completes second trimester). Due to her delicate condition,I tell her to not accompany me in grocery shopping these days. We take leisurely walk every evening after dinner before it is dark. She meditates in the morning before breakfast and as I mentioned earlier, she has become very religious, so she spends few mins on her prayer every morning and evening.

But one thing I am not good is in preparing dishes to cater her every craving and to her satisfaction :)

I could welcome her mother (my MIL) to come now and be with wife and help in preparing items my wife likes and match the taste she is expecting. But my wife doesn't want to disclose to her family till she completes second trimester. Her fear is based on our earlier mishaps.
