Hi I have a 10 year old kid...recently I have observed that he is not at all interested in studies ...just wants to play outside with other kids ...he just quickly completes his homework in his dirty writing & incorrect spellings & mistakes...he is not ready to redo anything nor write neatly...can anyone share experienced/practiced way to improve concentration so that he pays attention in class & is fully focused while doing his studies...Thank you in advance.

Recently things became like this or been like this for past 2-3 years?

There are no fixed steps that will do magic. It takes some identifying of what might be the issue, is the issue something he can control or be taught to control, try some ways of mitigating the issue, check the progress, modify steps, and keep doing this.

"improve concentration", "pay attention in class", "fully focus on studies", "do better at homework" are beeeg goals each one. Start small. Maybe with the rushing out to play. Is there enough time before play time to complete the homework properly? How do the other kids do homework? Is is possible to split the homework so he does part of it before play and the rest after coming back?

Talk with the teacher also. They observe our children for longer hours, and they have the experience of having seen many children of same age over the years.
