Last thursday my friend Sunitha invited me over for lunch. After a delicious lunch, we sat chatting about the community events, shopping center that has newly re-opened and the new curtains she was stitiching. Sunitha immediately brought out her latest acquisition " Scooba" and did a live demonstration right there as good or better than a floorperson at the mallstore or a Kerby vacuum cleaner salesman. Now I knew what scuba diving was and what a tense hour I had experienced when my elder son went on a scuba adventure some time ago. ( He was on his high school swim team). I had also heard of "Rhoomba" --the carpet vacuuming genius. "Scooba" seemed like the ultimate genius because according to the claims on its website, it preps, washes , scrubs and squeezes different types of floors. It knew where to clean and avoids rugs and carpets. Sunitha also put up some sensor--which is called " virtual wall" to let " Scooba " know to avoid those areas. It even cleaned under cabinets, chairs and tables. I was very impressed and came home with a plan to bring up the topic to my DH. After choosing the right time, started by saying that Hilda, our cleaning lady was not doing a good job these days and seems to have gotten too many houses to clean. When I talked about "Scooba", he readily agreed and we have ordered one and anxiously waiting for its arrival. Do any of you already have "Scooba" or know someone who has?.
Usha Your write ups are always a delight for me to read.. I have never heard of this Scooba nor do I know anyone who owns it! Not surprising.. as I am not abreast with the latest.. I still do all my cleaning myself.. this Scooba sounds very interesting.. do keep me updated on its performance.. and if possible the price range.. maybe their website might carry that information?.. You write so well that I also joined the ride and was wondering where Scooba was taking us.. now safely disembarked
Thanks AC for the first FB. As I have severe fear of getting my head under water, I can do scuba-diving only in dreams. The name Scooba should do for now. I will keep you posted .In a a day or two, I should be receiving it. Needless to say, in its anticipation, I have not mopped the floors for a few days:hide:
