I see several pictures with ladies selling big flowers in Himachal Pradesh. Is this for festival? Why is one lady holding white rabbit?
Actually I feel most of these pics are of tourists who pose catching bunnies and wear such attire for pics . Not sure though ! Cos when my parents visited tat place even they dressed up like tat !
I think these pictures are tourists dressed in traditional dress of simla. Years ago, I visited simla and I got the chance to picture myself with this kind of dress on. I have one taken with a yak. These could be very well like that. Flowers,as with any hill station simla must be thriving with all kinds of flowers in summer. Not sure about the rabbit part.
Tourists, wow I would have never guessed. They look innocent enough to be locals from the area. My next painting was going to be of the lady holding rabbit. I barely see people smile so much nowadays (at least in fast-paced City) Look at what dress-up, props, and scenery do to our impressions of people!
These are the touristy pictures. In Shimla or Manali outside every tourist spot are people with bunnies that will pester you to get pictures. These are usually Angora rabbits (that's where the Angora wool comes from). That's how they make money. I feel for the bunnies!
