One of the post where you shudder to click ! life is so unpredictable ! loved his snippets esp the way he used to end them . His writings were always honest and criticism was always taken in a positive note. I will miss his writings here ... prayers for the family . May his wife and daughters be brave at this hour . his name was very special to me ....
Sincere condolences. Too young to die. Each time I hear of another cancer victim I can only wonder how many more lives before we find a cure? If not a cure can it be at least managed like a chronic condition?
JAG, we always read about one new treatment after the other. Recently read about a new treatment which has been very successful in animal trials and human trials have started - at Stanford. Kamalji got the best treatment available as of today. One wonders how successful all these treatments are.
Very shocked and saddened. I only knew him in the way you 'know' someone by seeing their name flash on your screen every so often despite never actually having exchanged a word. A subtle presence that becomes conspicuous by its absence. We had always been on opposite ends of the value spectrum, nevertheless he had a way with words and an infectious joie de vivre. Wish his family strength and peace in this difficult time. RIP.
It largely depends on the type of cancer. Some can be cured with the new treatments especially immunotherapy and personalized medicine. Others however still have a grim prognosis.
