    @iyerviji

    You are right, Vijima, nothing beats the comfort of the humble dal chaval.

    Hi Geeta,

    I had read your snippet earlier, but somehow did not get down to posting a comment. Not to say I did not enjoy the superb khichadi. How can an avowed foodie not enjoy a snippet on her favourite topic of eating and that too something so fulfilling as khichadi! Seriously, I have been floating in a dimension of bliss on simple dal chawal with a few greens from my balcony. Life is so simple.

    As for the khichadis brewing in the political pots ..... well, that certainly gives me an bad bout of indigestion. And seriously who cares how the khichadi is made! Khichadi is khichadi. Each version has its own unique taste. A good choice for a national dish, but the fight over where it originated? Well, let them go figure, considering they have nothing better to do!

    Congratulations on the thread being nominated by Vijima for FP.

    Thanks, Satchi.

    We in our circle, generally call a mishmash of various things- matching or unmatching put together simply to get the job done as Khichdi. I believe our politics is played exactly that way. Owaisi staunchly opposes BJP's passionate agendas like the Ayodhya and the beef ban, yet to topple Congress government in Karnataka, these two are in talks to fight the election together! Could there be a worse Khichdi than this?
