Swine Flu And 7 Weeks Pregnant

    Hi all,

    After lot of medications and waiting for three years i finally got pregnant.. got heartbeat and everything was going fine..

    but now i am diagnosed with swine flu influenza B virus.. doctor prescribed tamiflu which is category c medicine in pregnancy..

    plz let me know anyone has taken this medicine and delivered a healthy baby..

    also i am worried swine flu at this stage will affect by baby..

    Currently i am taking innohep injections, cyclogest, baby aspirin as i had three previous miscarriages..

    Yes I know a lady who delivered healthy baby after getting treated. Please take the medicines immediately as per doctor advise

    Diya, hope you are feeling better. The recommendation of doctors is that it’s safer for the baby with the mother on tamiflu than with high fever and complications of flu. studies on the effects of tamiflu on the baby aren’t too conclusive and it seems to be widely used in pregnant women. So try not to worry too much and complete the recommended dosage. Good luck to you and the baby. Take care!

    i have taken Tamiflu in my pregnancy. The baby was not at all affected by it. dont worry, u can continue it.

    Thanks all.. my temperature is not coming down with paracetamol and i have continues vomiting now..
    hope things get better
