First off if you can get away from toxic , abusive person, by all means do so.

You have a right to protect yourself.

And I can never understand how people watch serials that glorify domestic violence, I.e Meri Durga on Star Plus.

That being said, why is it difficult for people to get away from toxic people.

Why does God allow circumstances that keep toxic people in your life.

For instance, that mother who was emotionally and physically abusive.
That mother who never let you stand up to bullies.
That mother who took the side of your abusive ex husband.
That mother who contributed to your miscarriage.
That mother who wrongly called police on your Dad because you called police on your physically abisive ex. (luckily USA police have some sense)
That mother who continually tries sideline you

Maybe God purposely kept that person there so you can:
-Work out your Karmas. Perhaps you were bad mother in previous life.
-Learn to love and accept people the way God himself does
-Show the she evil people what humanity is

    What do you think?

We see all these serials where person is nice to mean in-laws, and the in-laws turn nice.

    Please give your opinions.

Personally, I think that these types of programs do more harm than good. They condition people (who watch them) into believing that they have to tolerate abuse and that if they tolerate it long enough, the person or people abusing them will suddenly become nice and stop. That is extremely unrealistic and rarely happens.

As to why toxic people are kept in our life, I don't think it's for any of the above reasons. I think such people are placed in our path so that we learn to recognize toxic behavior and learn avoid such people in the future. In my personal experience, that has certainly been the case. I had a toxic ex "friend" (at uni) and once I cut her off ... never again.

In serials I don't take them very seriously as I don't watch any regularly. But I feel they show the toxic people to keep the story going. Otherwise the audience feel bored if everything will be good. Also the toxic people in real life get more tips from them to increase their destructive behaviour and the nice one get tips from the nice ones. They actually overdo everything just to raise trp. That is the reason of feeling bored after sometime. No one in real can be too good at least for bad I can't judge the limit. They also show a change in everyday of their life that's not possible in real. We all have mostly the same routine daily. No one goes from America to Australia daily. Don't know why they make their lives too difficult.

I was just reading some lessons on Vedanta . It talks about art of right contact. The world will never be perfect, humans are never meant to be perfect so this world will have a mix of good and bad people always. It's our individual ability and cognizance to apply the right contact with the world. Evils or toxic people like what you describe are not impediment but they give us an opportunity to hone our life skills if we know how to maintain the right contact with them. This art of living is compared to the skill of one who knows how to sharpen the knife against a rough grindstone. If one lacks the skills, it will result in making the knife dull and useless. If one knows how to sharpen it, then we can do wonders with this tool.

Since we don't know our past or our karmas, why come up with such speculations that because we did this in the past, we are suffering today. Human beings are the only beings with free will and intellect so use it efficiently in your favour.. We shouldn't blame people or circumstances but use our own intellect and apply it intelligently as to how we want to be affected by them, whether positively or negatively. Sometimes I feel greatful to those toxic people who taught me way more than the good Samaritans in my life.

Is that "Mother" character in Meri Durga ?
Script-wallahs for such shows are trying to feed the addicts who want more and more with each passing season of the show. They have to imagine all manners of dysfunction in people, so that they can write characters that are going to rivet the audience in place again and again.

There are different ways of looking at a thing like the half glass full or half glass empty. At our weak moments it is possible to think like what you have mentioned. Depending on Karma theory helps to pacify, accept and cope. It also helps one to work hard towards perfecting oneself. On the negative side it turns you fatalistic and takes away some of your fighting spirit and zest.

Best is to keep away toxic people from our life as they give unwanted tensions. Surround yourself with positive people, thoughts and hobbies. Keep positivity and mental balance irrespective of circumstances.

It is best not to watch serials on TV, I honestly pollute minds.

Thank God I don't watch any serial ( I am considered a "Weired " person in my circle of relatives and friends for not watching social serials). Long ago, I watched a serial Shree Guuruvayurappan in Surya T V and it was natural and good.)
We should simply smile and move away when we meet such toxic humans or just be ourselves and ignore the bad vibes from such people if we are destined to live with them !

Limit your interactions with anything toxic, be it a TV serial or a family member. Learn how not to be like them and don’t spend a minute of your precious life dwelling on the negativity .
