    Raisins are super foods these days, but are rich foods in those days mainly because of its high cost, it is affordable by rich people only.

    Raisins are added in royal rice preparations &sweets like Mugalai biriyani, shahipulaos, khurmas, Kahmiri naan &kheers But Now -a -days these can be found in ice creams &cookies too. Raisins are full of many essential nutrients that help towards a healthy mind &body.

    ^ Raisins are rich in potassium and magnesium, which control acidity.

    ^ Raisins are effective in treating anaemia, as they contain copper, iron and vitamin B12

    ^ Raisins are also rich in calcium and boron, which are said to prevent osteoporosis.

    ^They contain poly phenolic phytonutrients that prevent infections.


    Raisins are partially dried grapes, whereas sultanas are seedless raisins, currants are dried fruit made from a small seedless variety of grape.


    Consumption of raisins on a daily bases helps reduce constipation and when made a habit for children from younger days the chances for cavities &gum diseases are Less, more over it helps in weight management too. Additional benefits like smooth skin and shine hair are also assured with the eating of raisins.

    Raisins are available in many sizes &colours, it depends on the variety of the grape. These are traditionally sun-dried foods. Best time to take raisins is in the breakfast itself. Your body will thank you for this and will boost your energy throughout the day.

    Raisins are the soft ones of all the dry fruits, it is more easy to eat even for babies &elders. Raisins are easily digestible and taste good. All varieties of Raisins are available in the market and these can be stored in an air tight container for long term use. Add theses in the milk shakes or cornflakes, have raisins on a regular basis and reap the benefits.

    :hello:thanks. there are various grades with and without seeds and black one with seed is supposed to be best especially for those convalescing and after for women before and after delivery. Body will thank you, minus coffee and tea, if raisins and a banana fruit included in breakfast, you reap its full potential. two ladles of tepid natural milk, table-spoonful rich dark honey, two three walnuts, a date or two, three almonds left for soaking few minutes taken during breakfast on regular basis will give fantastic boost to your energy.
