Potluck Idea For American N Other Asian Friends

Ras Gulla went over big with the American contingent at my wedding. Almost any type of Indian snacky thing is usually good too, as long as it isn't too hot. Bhajia are nice (besan-coated deep fried veggie bits).

I used to make a sweet 'n sour chutney that I've lost the recipe to - it took 8 oz of dried peaches, 8 oz of dried apricots, one bottle of Heinz wine vinegar, but I have forgotten sugar and spices amounts. Something like that - not too hot but spicy and sweet at the same time - might be ok.

Samosa are always popular too. Actually REALLY popular. I cheat thoroughly when I make them, I use a dumpling press and egg roll wrappers, LOL! But the filling is real Indian at least.

Any paneer dish, saag paneer.. with roti
Non spicy chicken, like chicken butter masala..
Chana or rajma salad
