    Hi All,

I am expecting soon, and currently planned for delivery in India. Will be back to Sydney along with baby.
Looking for baby products to be bought in advance and later after delivery. Especially which brand nappies to buy and baby wipes or bottles for feeding etc. Know couple of places to buy these, but looking for best and good quality ones for daily use. Moms who came through this stage, any suggestions? Best brand i mean, not too expensive with more natural ingredients and simple to use (acceptable and suitable by most babies).

    Thanks

    Hi
Congratulations and good luck. I'm assuming you are asking about purchasing in India. I have 2 kids and for both I used either Pampers or Huggies diapers. I always shop for products on first cry. They have good deals and home delivery free above 500rs purchase.
Initially you should have some clothes, blankets, swaddles, wipes, caps, booties, towel, mat, cradle, cloth and disposable nappies.
Depends on your household preference, some do not like buying before baby's arrival. In that case few use things of other babies in family.

Congratulations and good luck on delivery.
If you will be returning to Sydney soon, then my suggestion would be to take the products with you from Sydney itself. That way you wont have to "switch" when you come back.

I used huggies for both my babies. I found there was a little difference in the diapers i buy here to the diapers we get in india. I dont know if quality wise there is a compromise or not but I found there is a difference.
I would buy diapers in Sydney (lots and lots of them) and take it to india. Size 0, 1 and 2 to start with. Wipes, you can buy there in India itself.
Same thing with feeding bottles. Buy what you get in Sydney and take it. I used NUK for my first one, second one was exclusively breastfed. Its tricky though...coz, i used a couple of brands before I found the right one that suited my baby.

Hi Rakhi, I've used diapers from India and Australia both. I used nappy pants for both my kids due to ease and skin sensitivity. Pampers there Baby love here. And I never felt any difference in quality. But there is a considerable difference in cost. On first cry you get good discount and price per nappy pant is as low as 9. Here it's minimum 50cents.
So I would still say buy those in India.
New born clothes definitely good here and nice prices especially in Target

Thanks Vaidehi, initial 3 months of baby planning to be India and then return to Sydney. So i hope. I have to shop from both places. Yes, we follow same rule of not buying anything for baby until the arrival of baby. On my various trips to India, I noticed difference in quality on same brands for non-baby products. My concern was around switching products. Would it be very difficult to switch products during my transition? Since there would be many other factors which change, I don't want to take a chance in baby products too. And the option you gave about first cry is very good too for indian products. Collecting all the info now, so that I can ask anyone to help me out later. Thank you.

Thanks for your input Rakhii, so definitely we have to try and see which ones are the babies comfortable in. Even I don't want to go for any plastics /BPA free or any such items; just wanted to be prepared for my transition in advance. One of my friends suggested Kmart too, howz quality of products in there?

Kmart is cheap but my experience quality is not so good.
About nappies, I have used them for 3 years now between 2 kids and I believe there's no difference. As I mentioned above, I used Huggies and Pampers in India and Baby love in Australia. Both pant style. They are cottony soft and easy available from infant size.
But here in Australia they are quite expensive. I tried taped once but my baby got rashes.

I never shopped in kmart. Ratandeep or something like that in Hyderabad had diapers. I ran out of what i took from here and used it there. Not bad, there was a difference but quality wise, i didnt see any, at least not in huggies.
