18 Mnths Baby Not Eating Solids Only Milk She Is Having

    Hi all,I am madhu living in Singapore.my daughter is 18 months old. Previously she is eating solids,rice every thing.but from one month onwards she stops every thing I tried different dishes every day.I check with my doctor whether she have throat problem but doctor told me nothing every thing is fine .I am very worried because my daughter became so lean and not eating. please suggest what I have to do and please suggest some foods for her to feed. It was more helpful forme

    OP, I have also faced same problem with my ds. I used to try many things on the same day. when I consulted doctors, they said, just give him what you eat. If he is happy and active, nothing to worry. If he is hungry he will eat. May be that is enough for him for the time being.
    My ds became very lean, but he was so active. I boiled ragi & milk (added little bit if sugar ), and instead of milk gave the milk and ragi mixture in bottle (made the opening slightly big) that was the only food he used to eat. This phase continued for a while.
    May be you can keep, finger foods in a bowl and let her pick and eat. Offer food, and distract her using some songs or videos while feeding (fix time like three to four times a day, not all the time). Offer her fruit purees or juices etc.
    But my dd was just the opposite, she ate everything we offered. So I think it depends on the child . This phase will change soon.

    I have faced this with my daughter too... this is just a phase. I started giving her gripe water and Iron tonic and multivitamins on regular basis. now her bowel movements are better and her solid intake is much better than before.
