    Hi friends ,

My SIL gifted me a sleeveless kurti but I don't wear a sleeveless one. From the time I got it I had been searching for a waistcoat for the same but didn't got the one suitable for me. For the last 1 year it's still in the cupboard untouched. Then came the idea of a shrug but iam having doubt if it will look good over a long straight cut kurti. Friends pls help me with ur suggestions

Ideally shorter shrugs do not suit a long kurti, considering its proportion, you also get shrugs till the hip line just check out...

    Hi dear,

That was the first thing I had done when i got the kurti. I went to 3 tailors but all of them said that they can't stitch sleeves because it will reduce the shoulder length and the kurti will no longer be fit for me. They said that it is made in such a manner that it can't be altered. Earlier they had altered 2 sleeveless tops but this kurti is not of that type. They had asked me to search a small jacket suitable for kurti or a waist coat. But I was not able to find a majenta jacket or waistcoat that's when the idea of shrug came to me.
@ yellow mango : u had given me valuable suggestions to my earlier posts and solved many of my problems.

I had the same issue, I bought readymade blouse and wore it. You can buy the matching colour or black ,white, off white can also be used.

The similar issue is faced by me every time. Usually, I don't prefer sleeveless but once on my birthday, my friend gifted me a sleeveless long kurta. Later on, I adjusted it with some traditional over coat type with it.
