"But this is silly!", one part says.
The other refuses and just stays.
He stood there waiting for her to come.
Was he nervous? He was, but firm.

The tireless waves went back and fro.
The entire world seemed to slow.
Every minute was dragging to an hour.
The one he waited for, wasn't even far.

    Circling the same place again,
With tiring eyes closing a bit,
He wished to be in a terrain
Alone with her, longing a bit.

The happy faces around him were
Just a blur to him. Nothing more.
The moon came after a mild delay.
He still waited for her that day.

In that blessed moment a hand
Touched his shoulders, as he heard
A short apology as fine music.
    Smiling, he started talking big.

Thanks Rajeni for your appreciation. Just tried to share the initial moment of his silliness, the impatience of waiting and that hope on a casual note. Glad to see this getting recognized. -rgs

You reminded me of one of Vairamuthu's famous lyrics - "Kaathirundhal edhirpaarthirundhal oru nimishamum varushamadi.. Kangalellam ennai kaanbadhupol oru kalakkamum thondrudhadi"

Nice one and good rendering by Unnikrishnan. I am a Vaali fan for your info, but like good lyrics nevertheless.
I just reminisced "Sundari - KaNNaal oru sEthi!" where the second para conveys what happens when they part and join. Beautiful way of linking nature with love, pointing to the fact that love is natural as well. -rgs

I love that song too! What a lovely song it is! Lyrics, music, singers - everything just perfect!
    "Ennai than anbe marandhayo!
Marappen endre ninaithaayo!" Such a strong and intense emotion conveyed in those simple lines!
When it comes to personal fav mine is always Kannadasan and Vairamuthu after him, but as you said, lyricists don't matter when we hear good lyrics.

Thanks Rajeni for another feedback. To me, Pattukkottai Kalyanasundaram, Matuthakasi and Kannadasan are way above. Vali is someone who lived close to where I live now. Just because of a hesitation, I never tried visiting his house even once. Same happened in the case of PBS too. I sat in the next table once while having an evening snack, but out of sheer respect and hesitation, I did not reach out to him. He was no more, after a week from then. -rgs
