    @PushpavalliSrinivasan
    Dear PS
    I am acutely embarrassed by your lavish praise. I reiterate that I am a normal person with no extraordinary qualities quite prone to commit mistakes..
    Until my stroke last year which affected my vision of the right eye, I always read three chapters of SundaraKandam every day for several years. I have not been able to continue it anymore but I continue to chant Rama's name. My grandma once told me that nemesis would not spare even the gods and site the example of Rama killing Vali from behind a tree. She would say that this caused Krishna being killed by a hunter hidden from his view. Krishna knew it and willingly accepted it. We make mistakes and when they rebound on us, we blame our fate!

    @Iravati
    There you go! You have done it once again. Nobody exposes the utter limitation of my knowledge like you do.
    Thank you for directing me to “It is bit”. I have not seen any 'bit' more profound than this. He speciaalised in 'bits' but we excel in bits and pieces!
    About Plato! My teacher once told me not to forget to plate my answers with a quote from Plato. That would fetch you an additional 10% he would say. When I asked him if he had said anything on spherical trigonometry which never failed to bother me, he replied that there was nothing that Plato had left untouched and implored us to put our faith in him!

    @Iravati
    A friend of mine in the club would always say that if he was asked to sign up an illegal deal even with dagger pointed to his heat, he would flatly refuse to oblige. Once another friend asked what if the dagger was pointed to his private part, he promptly replied that in that case, he would reconsider his stand! There is no test for honesty. Some may yield quite easily but even the hardest nuts would finally give in if the bait is strong enough. Some may get angry for my saying this but it is the truth.
    Honesty today is judged by the fairness of the price demanded for action. Corrupt are only those who demand an unusually large price demanded by them. It is a fashion for the politicians spinning yarn on the Wheel on Gandhi's birthday, clad in spotless Khadi attire. On the remaining 364 days, they just spin a yarn without the spinning wheel!

    I have not had the pleasure of hearing of the business discussions between Yammy and Chitty. I wonder how he continues to be a Durma Raja with such shoe string budget! The news of the tardy finances in the Kingdom of Yama must have leaked the earth judged by the utter impunity with which sins are committed in this part of the Universe!

    @kkrish
    Your mention of 'crisp' reminded me of 'crisp apple strudels' as being mentioned among many favourite things of Maria in Sound of Music! Crispness enhances the edibility of an eatable like crisp potato wafers. The crisper they are the faster they are crushed to pulp by the eager teeth! Crispness of writing probably would enhance its readability. At the same time, Rambling should not be crisp and more so when it is senile. I am, therefore, worried when you talk of my crisp writing!

    You have dealt with my writing point by point and it is incredible how you have managed to ferret out the readable portion of my ramble and give it a 'quote' stats! I am much obliged. In Tamil, people right about 'sonnathum and solla maranthathum' (Things said and things forgotten to be mentioned). (This is yet another proof of how translation can kill the original!) While mentioning what I have said in my rambling, you have added value to it by mentioning what I have forgotten to mention.

    I should honestly say that what you have written has given life to my rambling. When I mention 'I should honestly say', don't ask me what are the dishonest things that I say. That will be a blog by itself!

    My dear OJ
    I have not yet read this being preoccupied with responding to the FBs received for my Rambling. It is incredible how there is always something similar no matter what I write about! I am only sorry that I do not have the kind of flair that you have for foreign languages. I have lived in Bengal for three years but never picked up a single word in Bengali except 'Chai kabein?' or 'mishti dohee'
    That shows your curiosity as more creative than mine which just tends to be 'gossipy'!

    @Agatha83
    Dear Agatha
    Reading your FB has disturbed me a lot. I had mentioned in another post about the boy born as Antichrist in the movie Oman. He notices the marking of Antichrist on his skull, runs up to a lonely riverside and lets out an agonized shout 'Why me?' Let alone our own life but the life around us is a lot more mystical. Like the beggar you have mentioned. Why him? Why not you are me? If 'karma' is the answer for such wild disparities, then why do we continue to ignore such warnings? Does the warning that the wages of sin is death stop anyone from sinning?

    While walking on the road, cooking and things like that, concentrate on your job. IL is for leisure and occasional learning. Do take care of yourself. I thank God for your safety.
