    Hi

How you all arrange your masalas / spices in kitchen. I was thinking of masala rack but it seems like bottle sizes are really small ( 15 grams .We normally buy 100 grams masala pack )and I have to keep some again in packets .

Give me some tips and tricks how you arrange your masalas/ spices in kitchen

masala rack is useless for indian spices. you can buy containers in set or containers from dollar shop . i use mason jar to store spices which are small quantity and for more quantity ones,i buy container set from dollar shop or from any shop .

    Hi,
I did not buy spice rack as such, but bought spice jars 3 oz size. It occupies less space and easy to use. It also comes with a optional shaker lid inside. The quantity left after filling the jars, I just keep in the packet and close tightly using a cloth pin. All these packets I put in a small storage tote and keep in the upper shelves.

I use the traditional spice box the stainless steel one..the big box which has steel cups inside..the remaining I seal it with a bag clip and store in an airtight box..spice rack is pretty much useless.

agree..spice rack is useless for indian cooking. I also don't like the containers with shakers as I use a very small spoon to measure my spices before adding..I prefer open mouth ones. I use indian style stainless steel masala dabba for day to day masalas i use and rest of the leftover goes in the pantry in its original packing with a clip on it. I have a basket where I keep all such packets together and it stil looks neat from outside . For other spices that I only occasionally use I have small plastic containers that are transparent or I just keep the normal pack they come in.
