    Hi Harini,

The last year or two, my wife started doing a lot of OPOS items. She said cooking using OPOS method is very easy and healthy. Before, that everything was traditional or Instapot cooking. As far as I am concerned, this is the first time I am trying OPOS based on what I see online and as per instructions from my wife. Today, I am going to try Cauliflower and Pineapple Rice recipe in the Instapot. I will post it if it is done right today.

    Cauliflower/Pineapple Rice

    Ingredients

    1) Minced cauliflower
    2) Minced pineapple
    3) Oil
    4) Green chili
    5) Basmati Rice (Half a cup)
    6) Salt

    Instructions

After placing all the ingredients in Instantpot, press Rice. Keep it on high pressure. Go to manual and fix it at 25-30 minutes. Wait for 10 minutes before opening the Instantpot. A nice Cauliflower/pineapple rice is ready. You can make onion raita as a side. :) InstantPot 03022017.jpg

Aswathyk, Welcome to the thread. A little history - late last year some of us discovered the InstantPot and bought it. The lucky ones in thanksgiving sale, and the late-kate's in December after tracking the IP's price on amazon. Some veterans casually said they'd had it for years. Now we have here a bunch of people who have fallen in love with the IP. I dare say the topic of EMA might make its way over to here from the Relationship forum. : )

Since fruit salad does not usually require any heating or cooking, it is most likely not possible to make that in an InstantPot, and this thread is for InstantPot recipes. But who knows... I learnt recently from youtube that people make 1 cup chai in the InstantPot. : )

Viswa, you have to understand some of us (read me) need more instructions than that. If not, we'll literally put all ingredients in at one shot, and cook it.

Now dont' tell me it is really that easy? No saute, nothing?

Veterans means they've had the IP for longer. If I recall right jskls, me etc bought it recently. JAG, kkrish and other have had it for a while. Peartree took it along in a flight on vacation too. : )

I actually bought too since the price was so good and I thought might as well buy two instead of a spare pot. Now, I just need one pot. The other is still packed. Thought of giving to my neighbor but she is still not convinced though all her SIL's, co-sisters, friends and all have one too. In fact, she viewed my purchase as a betrayal of sorts.. : )

    @Rihana

I just followed the instructions as it was given online. Some doubts and questions were answered by my DW over phone. Definitely no saute. Settings Rice, High Pressure, Timer 25 minutes and that was it.

Pineapple and Cauliflower mixed Rice | Instant Pot®

Yes. I struggled how to make it only for one person and that is when my DW solved the puzzle. Because the instructions online was serving for 6 with 2 cups of rice. If I followed that, I would be eating the same stale food for days.

    Hi @Rihana
    I am a late-Kate Instantpot owner.
Got it December 2016, as a Xmas gift.
I put it on Santas list after the successful Public Relations done by @peartree , @JustAnotherMom , and @justanothergirl .

Mein veteran nahi! (Practising my bits of Hindi) :)
