We are married for two years but we are childless. We live in Hyderabad. We have visited gynecologist and she adviced us to go for IUI for pregnancy. DH semen analysis and DW hormone reports are fine, except vitamin D deficiency. DH has a disease called Heamophilia-A. This is a genetic disorder, due to which the body does not produce one of the clotting factors to form the blood clot. So, the patient has to take Factor-8 injections whenever there is injury.
My children will not get this disease. But if I have female child, her male children (i.e. my grand children) will get this disease. Hence it is better for me to have male child. Can you suggest us a good hospital where IUI can be performed with gender selection of the baby, in Hyderabad?

It is ILLEGAL., whatever medical reasons you have. If it is posted from India and if the Law Enforcement Authorities want, even from your IP Address and Geo Location, you can be prosecuted. You have made an electronic evidence , which is enough to land you up in a legal mess ,!!

It is illegal. your H is living a pretty decent life with the disease, isn't he? So what makes you think your grandchildren will not live a reasonable life?

instead, may be later when your girl child is all grown up, she can decide to not to have a male child(based on the country, if legally it is allowed), right?

    You are thinking too much!!
You are worried about your grandson!!
Who knows by that time, medical would have improved so much and your worries will be out to rest.As others said, knowing gender is illegal in India and how does it even matter if the baby is a boy or girl? All one needs to worry is have a healthy child.

Just concentrate on your treatment now and whatever the gender is,a child is a child and be happy.Good luck.

it is illegal in INDIA. Usually all hemophilia patients are adviced to produce male progeny and all hemophilia gene carriers (like DH's sisters) are adviced to produce only female progeny. Union Govt is formulating guidelines to stop the population. Scanned letter is attached here

However, it takes months, if not years for the govt to formulate guidelines

Although your medical reason to have male child is somewhat justifiable, It would be best to leave it to God, and of course it is illegal so in India you may not have this facility.....I would have helped you with gender swaying techniques if you were trying naturally...but then its not a guarantee, I am wondering why you are not trying naturally still even you both have no fertility issues, ... are you using Ovulation prediction kits? your periods are regular etc.... baby making love a day before and on the day of ovulation may beget you male child, if it is done 2 or 3 days before ovulation, girl babies are more likely. I personally did not try this method because I wanted to have a child no matter girl or boy, also I learnt of this after I had become pregnant.
if you can pm your dob and periods date(if regular) and length of your cycle, I may help you a bit, but please be aware it will just be a prediction....

dont worry about either way, if you have a girl child, then she may live her life depending on the health advancements in the field, as Anika rightly suggested that by that time, there might be more tech advances...you are thinking too much

    good luck..

Periods are regular. Not using any ovulation kit, but just going by counting the 14 days. We tried to measure the basal temperature but we could not make out on which day the body temperature was different.
Tried few gender swaying techniques, like
    having alkaline food
    carbonated drinks
    chips
making love just on the day of ovulation, with a gap of 5 days before this ovulation day.
