What are the different types of idlis you guys make? I have only tried making the regular idli's with urad dal and rice, and also the mung bean idlis. I tried making soya bean idli's but they didn't come out great.

I like idli/dosa for breakfast everyday since I find it more healthy. I like more idli's since it requires less/no oil compared to daily one/two tblspoon oil I put while making dosa's. Also idli's are quick.

Soyabean okara with little idly rice and urad combo makes better idly than direct beans from experience.

Try little millets, wheat grits, corn grits, bajra fine grits, ragi, and regular idlis
