I am also 6 weeks pregnant. My EDD will be sep,12th. Today I had my first doc appointment. Initially doctor said, everything is fine. Then she said, " Only after seeing heartbeat we can confirm 100%, so dont tell anyone now". I got confused.

as per scan report, GA is 5W2d. not sure, what is wrong.

 

Congrats @srinithivasan and @deeprapriya.. don't worry deep.. consult your doctor once again and ask her she said so, so that u can be happy..

 

By the by till now I have not checked and I am fingers crossed and tomorrow will check for pregnancy and update here.. ;-)

 

Out of curiosity I checked today girls.. it's positive result.. let us have a happy n safe pregnancy journey together..

Don't worry Deprapriya. It is only to be on the safer side. First 12 weeks are critical. that is when all the major organs are developing. Once past this stage, the pregnancy is said to have crossed the danger stage. Elder people suggest to inform friends and family only after crossing this stage. God forbid if something happens you don't want well wishers to keep asking. Since it is only 5 weeks heartbeat is not detected as of yet. You get to hear HB after 6 or 7 weeks.

Don't worry nothing is wrong with the baby. Stay positive and happy and pray. Have a healthy pregnancy.
