    (1) They elevate "chatter" to "chant" like ritual.
    (2) They are the only ones who democratise everything through polls and pageants.
    (3) They talk more and work even more.
    (4) They are red in tooth and claw to defend triviality.
    (5) They will plan five things and do none yet amuse themselves in such fleeting thrills.
    (6) They will chat dry till their tongues hang limp on things that only matter to them.
    (7) They call themselves "freethinkers" at a eye-watering cost.
    (8) They are the only ones who indulge in meta-thesis on metastasized topics.
    (9) They are the only ones who can understand this bulleted list.
    (10) And they are the only ones who will promote such tomfoolery as interlude in an otherwise magisterial conclave in selecting the name for a thread.

    I like "... hangs a tail". Does it need a descriptor at the end, like E&G Chatter, etc.? It would be nice if the thread's purpose were discernible at first glance.

    I felt we needed a shortcode to refer to that thread, hence prefixed it with "gabfest".
    We can always remodel the title accordingly later.

    Instead of "gabfest" we can have any of these as well. Wanted to kickstart something so that we can decommission Pensee.
