    Dear Manju,

Thank you for writing this wonderful thread in a poetic language. What a way to start writing in IL again! We missed your wonderful threads all these days.

Your positivity is contagious and is equally interesting as your snippet. I am so very happy that your son and daughter were with you during your drive. They would learn a lesson or two from their mother especially her attitude to accept life as it comes. It looks like the days of cyclone appear to be used wisely by the families in Chennai to bond among themselves.

Isn't it interesting to watch Creepers and Climbers remaining unaffected by the cyclone? The birds continuing their chirping as life as usual. You have great observation to watch what happens around you and watching the nature is a great way to learn lessons. You brought this approach so well in your thread.

I will go one step further and request you to post the photograph of your art with the broken pieces of windshield in IL.

    Welcome back.

    Viswa

An indelible painting of the scene couched in literary style. As Viswa has said, small shrubs plants and creepers which always need a support to hold, have thrived.Big trees which stood confident that they need no support and that they can depend on their own strong roots, have totally been uprooted -imparting a great lesson to humanity.
    A nice snippet.

I feel so honoured for the welcome I am receiving here. I wish this contagious positivity remains forever in me. Let your blessing come true that my kids pick up good attitudes leaving any of my negativities. My lovely hubby bores the brunt of my negativities, arguments, analysis, highs and lows. I am eagerly waiting for him to arrive tomorrow early morning to blabber all the events.

Yes. Nature teaches us many things. Its a blessing that I am in a situation to observe it. Wish it's to be common to all.

    Regards

Rightly said ashima10. It is vey disheartening to see people suffering in very many aspects. Wish nature is uniformly kind to all.

Thank you @jayasala42. Very true jayasala. I read in a leading newspaper according to a survey most of the trees uprooted were non native trees. The native trees just lost its branches as they have developed deep root system and whereas the non native trees don't adopt here and their root systems are not very strong.

    Hi @manjukps
So beautifully written and captured the damages caused by Vardah!
Hmmm, I did not know that a poetess was also hiding in my friend all these day!
It takes a cyclone to bring this out.
Your post rightfully deserves the the nomination.
