    @ madhu mam,

Hugs to u and welcome to this thread.

Kkrish mam is truly inspiring and a guiding angel for us.

The decision to start with weight loss is the first step towards the success.

I don't have any big plans for weight loss.

I go for regular walks morning and evening

I'm conscious in what i eat. I reduce the amount of food i eat. like instead of two servings, i stop at one serving itself. And usual avoiding junks, sweets etc.

If we religiously follow these , weight starts reducing .

all the best madhu:thumbsup:, keep sharing your views

Oh @Madhumagie Thank you so much! I had tears in my eyes reading your post.
No words to express my gratitude for the lovely words. I am happy.

Shara (@chithirainilavu )has posted good suggestions for weight loss. Yes, go about it slowly and steadily (remember the saying, slow and steady wins the race).
And yes, better late than never... you have the right approach! Go for it.

    Best wishes

    Hi Shara
Nice way to add veggies to children's meals.
Have you tried making parathas with spinach, beetroot, and carrot?
Boil and cook with spices and salt, each- spinach, beetroot, and carrot- separately. Mash very well to a paste.
To this paste add wheat flour. you can then make three small balls of each color, put them together, and make tri-colored chapatis. Some fun.
Left over sambar? - don't throw away. Add some wheat flour, knead and make chapatis. Different taste, no leftovers too.

Enjoy the children's ruckus. Of course teach them possibilities. As they grow up they will become responsible and know that you have physical limitations too. I think your family is a happy family.
Before you blink your eye they will go off to college and begin their lives away; enjoy them as much as you can and relish each moment.
    Best wishes
    K

Hi @kkrish mam thanks for sharing so much useful information. My main challenge is laziness and getting up early with health playing a side role. Planning to read all the info you shared in a leisure pace and hope I can follow at least some of them. Do keep posting more for beginners like us.

    Thank you @chillbreeze .
Yeah please read and find ideas that you think will work for you.
May I take the liberty of giving you a suggestion?

Please do not think you are lazy because you get up late.

    By getting up late:
    • Are you not able to cook meals on time?
    • Is you home cluttered and dirty, according to you only? (Don't worry about what others say)
    • Are your family members constantly looking for things (unorganized)?
    • Do you hesitate to have visitors?
    • Do you constantly run out of things and have to run to the shop at the last minute?
    • Is your weight creeping up?
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then "yes" you need to get up a little early. That's all.
But you are not lazy. We all have different sleep requirements. Maybe you are going to bed late.

    Be happy. Sleep well.

I am seriously thinking on how to start posting again - logical, organized, etc. that helps and not overwhelms the new homemaker.

    Take care

Hi @Madhumagie ..I saw you were very happy discovering my name in one of my snippets. Thanks. Somehow my humor "muse" seems to be in hibernation for a long time, since. When it returns I may write some more.

    Hi @chillbreeze
Once you have meals on time you can concentrate on your weight goal. Somehow to me these two go hand in hand. I must thank you, You have given me a starting point. Bet wishes.
