    Hi,
I am an old member and have not logged in much into IL offlate. However I am seeking help from ILites and would be very glad if i can get any information.
I am 33 yrs old and am suffering infertility. My husband has a severe case of oligoasthenoteratospermia.
He basically has very low numbers of morphologically abnormal non motile sperm.
I have very low amh(almost non existent) and our chances of conceiving via our own egg and sperm is close to non existent.
With this kind of depressing diagnosis we opted for embryo adoption. But as fate would have in spite of having 4 ivf cycles with donor embryo we still are waiting for our bundle of joy.
I am tired of seeing bfn every time and am shedding tears on daily basis.
The financial toll is also quite high on us and we are so desperate.
I recently visited a new doctor who has suggested this new procedure of ERA.
This is basically a method to locate my implantation window since i have had repeated implantation failures. It costs around 50,000 and it will be an additional burden on us financially.

Please let me know if anybody has undergone this procedure. If yes is it worth it . Has anybody got any positive outcomes. Do let me know please. Thanks.

    Thank u @teejay for the tag ..
    @sunnysideup hugs to u dear ..
I completely understand what ur going through this moment.

ERA like u said is a test to know the best time of receptivity of the endometrium for successful implantation .
It's like a normal Ivf cycle with a minimal stim and then the doctor takes endometrium sample around the time of transfer in a usual Ivf cycle and send it for testing.
The clinic where I was consulting previously, I met a girl who had 2 fresh transfers failures & 3 FET failures, she was then advised for ERA test. Her reports came out good. Lost contact with her afte that. So not sure if that test actually benefited her.

I would suggest u to take a break and then take the test ..
I hope u find the answers to ur problem and u conceive soon.
I was thinking if the doctors could try ICSI with ur husbands sperm & a donors egg.
    What's ur AMH & day 2 AFC?
Have u tried a cycle with ur own eggs?

    Hi sunnysideup,
You are only 33 year old. Not a bad age at present time to hold on with your lo.
Have you tried any medicines or food to improve the amh levels? Those are not helpful?
Sperm conditions too given any trials to improve?

I don't have much clue to those tests. Endomertrium is different in each cycle. In each cycle the layer is getting formed naturally and some medicines can boost it. I am not sure if those window detection can help you or not. Do full and detailed discussion with your doc.

Try to lead a healthy life style with balanced diet. It should help in building healthy body and might help you with next attempt. Stress plays a key role in the TTC and fertility run... Try to be positive and strong.

    Baby dust yo you.

Thank You Agony for all this information. I am doing some research and trying to find out more information.
If at all I opt for the test I am thinking of going for it next month.
Our very first cycle was with my own eggs and husband's sperm. It was ICSI cycle and inspite of high dose of medications I produced only 2 eggs and one 1 fertilized. It did not result in pregnancy and we were advised to opt for embryo adoption .
I got my AMH tested in 2 different clinics and one said it was 0.1 and another 0.8.
All the doctors I have visited agree that my ovaries are sluggish and I am not having many eggs:-(
    Just hoping for the best.

    Hi V
    Hi Vasumathy,
I am indeed trying ayurvedic medicines for both my husband and myself.I am not seeing much changes. Although I think my amh might have improved slightly.
My understanding is also that endometrium is different in each cycle and I think the implantation window might differ in each cycle. That is one of the reason I am not convinced entirely. I am researching and will be checking with other doctors as well.
I will definitely will make lifestyle changes and have a balanced diet.

Thanks a lot for your advice and concern. Means a lot to me

    @sunnysideup
May be before going for the next IVF, you can try the following

    DHEA suppliments for egg quality
Exercise and healthy diet (low carbs)
Include flax seeds, pomegranate, figs and avocado in your diet
Himalaya claims evecare and speman will help

But you will need to try this for atleast 3 months to see changes (if any)

Lifestyle changes and balanced diet will do wonder but it take long time as the body has already spoiled. Keep trying those for the sake of good health. Those really helped us.
Hope you get some help in your fertility. All the best.
