Dear friends, First my wishes to all for the festival season. Just recently I got involved in online shopping and from a friend of my husband came to know about smart shopping. He does it in many ways, the common one is to use coupons which most of us will be aware of. Next is through referral. what he does is create multiple mail ids. He refers one id to his other id, accepts and shops for a smaller amount and through this he gets a referral amount(this is mostly a higher amount than the purchased one. available in amazon) and uses it for other shoppings. Friends can you please share your experiences of smart shopping which will be useful to all friends here in saving some money during this shopping season. Thanks, Meena

here are some tips from my side as , I am doing online shopping from since long 1. cash on delivery is the best option to go for 2. clothing, footware, handbags are always a gambling as size and material can be checked only after receiving 3. while returning, better take cash other than credits back if you are not sure of shopping from the same site again 4. never try random sites 5. always good to buy based on confirmed brands 6. home and kitchen items are mostly good from the known brands 7. discounts may not be as per they mentioned like 60% or 80% but definitely lesser at sale times. 8. electronics also is cheaper but its better we get mobiles at stores as the screen guards and all can be done there. there may be more...
@meepre I ensure the below while shopping online: - enter credit card details only if the site is secured - https. -shop only in trusted sites like Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Snapdeal -always check the product review posted by the customers -always check the dimension of the product. Most of the product images looks magnified in the web site but in real, color and size may vary.
@meepre am not sure if this is smart shopping. But sometimes to avail free shipping which is for orders above Rs.1000/-, I pool with a friend and order together so we get the offer.

I usually Google coupons for the product and get lucky sometimes getting good ones. Next time will note the site where I get coupons and will share.
