Dear Friends,Sorry for being away from you all for quite some time but have been very busy due to travelling and other work. Now I am back to share with you my proud moment when I was honoured to hoist the Indian Flag at SIES High School, Matunga, Mumbai where I was a student some 51 years ago. (I am sure some of the Indus lady members also could be students of SIES High School, Mumbai).

During February , this year, I received an invitation to be chief Guest for Independence Day Celebrations at my school . This selection of chief guest was based on my position of Dy General manager at MMTC, my literary achievements and other extra curricular activities.

It was something like a dream come true for me when I performed the hoisting of Indian Tricolour Flag at SIES High School, Matunga, Mumbai - the school where I passed out my SSC 51 years ago. Stepping into the school premises after 51 years and that too as the Chief Guest was real thrilling event for I expected a sordid, official event but the warmth and grandeur showered on me was something unexpected. All said and done it was heaven like experience for me . Not all the persons get such an opportunity to be invited as chief guest by your own school - that too after 51 years - and bestowing the honour of hoisting the Indian Flag. Thanks for all the best wishes from all of you.

I have brought out a video, compiling the photos and short video clips taken with different mobiles . It took me more than four hours to bring out this video with the audio and I am eager to get your feedback .

    Jai Hind.

Thanks a lot - I was away on tour to Srilanka and hence the delay in response.

ah yeah my father always stand next to host helping him undo the rope knot and it is always a lovable sight to see him in the midst of flower petals falling over him :)

Caide and Lalitasv very interesting to read the conversation between you. Yes - the person who works gets the least credit - Caide - your father would have done the preliminary work and would have stood nearby with tension that the flag should hoist properly etc etc and the host/chief guest gets all the claps and credits and yes ofcourse the flag reciprocates by showering some flowers on your father too. That always happens.

Thanks for going through my post. Makes me feel good .
