I think I have responded to all but CS, Srama and Satchi. I've skipped posts where the central argument had been answered elsewhere. Where I haven't others have. If I've missed anyone please remind me. So far the primary arguments have been anecdotal (personal relationships with god), why evil exists, and atheism is nihilistic (lacking in purpose). We've spoken at some length about the last two. Anecdotes are anecdotes. They provide neither evidence nor arguments in favor of the existence of god.
"Omniscient" - knows everything. Knowledge is not the same as 'experience'. I know an Atlantic cruise is wonderful. It is not the same as experiencing it. I know I am great. I am complete. I am everything that is. But just what does that mean? How would I understand that unless there was imperfection? Only question that pops up in my mind is if I go on the premise that I am Atma, a spark of that Divine, then being at the same time an imperfect human being is not exactly letting me 'experience' my perfection as that divine spark. At least not yet!
it crippled our society very very deeply. Not only god, but all "vidya" related stuff, too, Those days if everybody wants to achieve "vidya" and do learning and research on what said on vedas, upanishads etc, food wouldnot come to table (no tables those days ), as those days all manual labor , farming, weaving, etc works somebody should be doing for one, then only that one can concentrate on these mind/brian related "vidya" stuff. again that gave them power, and later they don't want to loose the power it brings. All may not think this much, just follow what they told to.
I cannot find any argument to justify untouchability. It was an issue when a certain elderly IL was staying at our place. No matter what the justifications in a past time or era (which are also open to questioning), they are by no means valid today. Therefore, BH and I took a stand and made her understand that it was the way things are going to be. Of course we did not win any popularity contests and are still to make a start on the charts today. As for different glasses, the day I realized that their bodies are no different from ours, we also use the same glasses when we eat in restaurants or elsewhere, the glasses and plates can be rinsed with soap and water, that all individuals of a certain caste are not dripping purity and cleanliness, I don't have a separate set of cups for anyone.
That particular line referred to God's probably line of thinking as explained in that book I mentioned in my first post.
