Episode 3


Sarthak’s mouth wide opened “Dude! Did you say murder..What da..You are telling as if doing pizza”

I smirked at him. He continued “Are you following her now?” I nodded

“Dude, we have presentation da” I shook my shoulders casually. Satty held his head in his palm. I gently patted on his shoulders and sincerely followed her car. A container lorry overtook and blocked my way. To avoid hitting it, I slowed down the car unfortunately I missed her. And there the road splits into two, one straight road goes to outskirts of Chennai and the other left turn leads to my company. I was in a dilemma which road should I take. I doubt what if she has taken the straight road. My brain refused to work. I took the left and drove towards my company. Sarthak stayed quiet.

I parked my car in the basement with a huge dismay. One good thing I have noted the car number. We started waking towards the lift. Satty was heading ahead to stop the lift. Swiftly I stopped Sarthak and checked the height difference “Satty, you are 5.5 or 5.6 dude?” measuring the difference by waving my hands between our shoulders and continued “2 inches difference would be there between me and her right. She seemed to be 5.4. I am 5.8. height difference is ok na”. The lift skipped our floor since we didn't pressed the button

He angrily took my hands off his shoulders and walked towards stairs “8.2. Now please stop thinking about her at least till the presentation gets over dude”

I rotated him and shrugged his shoulders “that’s a boring presentation buddy. Everyone sleeps till we say Thank you and clap formally. Chill about that”

The presentation went well which was a cyclic one presenting the reports to top management. No one cares unless there is an issue. I am used to it. For evening break, I have to go alone as Satty was trapped in a meeting. I got my coffee and had a calm walk in the garden which was fully surrounded by huge trees. It was also the parking area for the visitors. I sat on the bench and admired my coffee mesmerized with the scenic view of the garden. My eyes struck at the blue car with a quiet big dent at its back. I rushed towards the car and I checked the number. Yippee…It is her car…I started dancing in joy. My coffee splashed on it. Who cares?

I remember she was telling that she is joining a new company today. My joy knew no bounds.

My phone rang. It was Satty. Showing all my teeth I attended “Macha. That beauty has joined our company da. I am flying in air da Macha”

Satty: “Oh is it. I thought you are performing dance show for some noble cause in the garden”

Me: I have to search for her

Satty: Mr. Ravi is searching for you dude

Me: Ask him to go to hell da. I am busy now

Satty: Sure Mongoose. He wanted to convey that Micra beauty has joined his team

Me: Wwwhhhhhaaaaaaaatttt. Jesus! Hope I am not dreaming. I will meet him immediately.

Satty: Sorry George! I have conveyed your message to go to hell. He is packing his things and about to start

I disconnected the call immediately and ran as fast as possible to Ravi’s bay

I imagined, what could be her name. How would be her reaction after seeing me? I was bombarded with lot of questions in my mind.

I knocked the door for formality and peeped in. Ravi was packing his laptop and his things in a bag. He beamed seeing me

Ravi: “Hey Young man! Whats up..” I couldn’t see anything fishy in his look. He was normal

Me: “Yeah! Hi Ravi..I just came to say Hi..its long time we met”

Ravi: “Is it so. I guess we met 2 days back for review meeting” he grinned

Oh yeah! He is right.Omg! why am I blabbering..hey wait..Satty has played his pranks again. True. How Ravi would have got any idea about her..Oh Jesus! I am again and again falling prey for his senseless tomfooleries. I will crush him into pieces

Ravi noticed I was lost in thoughts. His gentle pat brought me to reality.

Ravi: I am leaving now George. I have got an emergency. Catch you later. Take care. Is anything urgent you wanted to meet me for?

I bobbed as NO and followed him mutely. My phone beeped a message “come to Srini’s room immediately. URGENT!”

Srinivas is peer to Uday, VP for whole administration. I started walking towards my building. Admin team sits in 5th floor of my building. We work in 2nd floor. A vacuum occupied my heart. I felt like the hope I had flying away from me. I was confused as well why I am getting call from Srini?

I knocked his room and waited till some response.

Pavani hit my back “George! What are you doing here?”

I turned back and shocked to see my Micra lady standing along with her. We both were equally shocked. Her curved forehead depicted her confusion What is he doing here?

My lips struggled to expand and froze whereas my heart was jumping in joy.

Pavani broke the ice “Why are you standing here?. Don’t you know Srini is in vacation?”

Me: “I…I…came to meet you” my eyes fixed at Micra beauty. Yeah! I meant her only

Pavani jumped in joy. “Oh my my..Hurray…Love you George! For this only I was longing all these days. Rashika! This is more important to me. I will meet you later” she clutched my hand and dragged out of the bay hopping and dancing. i was dragged like a small kid not willing to go to school dumped in by its teacher

RASHIKA!! My Micra beauty’s name is Rashika. Cute name. I had no idea what happened then but still turned my head looking at her till she vanished from my sight.

Oh No! Pavani might have mistaken that I have accepted her proposal. No!! Jesus!! Save me please!!
