    Hi Sanravi,

Organic foods are ofcourse named organic on them. You get almost everything in organic these days. I see you live in Long Island. You might have Stop and Shop there. They have their own brand called Nature's Promise which is Organic. They have a special aisle for organic foods. I buy milk from the Organic Cow company, which is found in the dairy section. Everything organic is clearly marked Organic... hope this helps..

    Dear Sihi and Vandhana,

Thanks for your views on this.
I totally agree, I dont like regular milk these days and I am simply in love with Organic 1%. milk, I use it for curd too. love it..
I have seen organic clothing too. I think there sould be a limit on what should be organic.....food I understand,
    but clothing.....

    Hi friends,

Would like to know abt organic cereal, is there any specific brand?? As sihi told, prefer to buy organic stuffs atleast for the kids, as the price is too too high. And, what brand of organic diary products like cheese/butter do u buy??

Talking abt milk, have seen milk saying no harmones and no antibiotics. In what way, the organic milk is different from the above??

    Waiting for the answers..

    Thanks.

    Hi Ami,

When it comes to Organic cereals I have not seen that many from the namebrands like kellogs, Post or Genereal Mills. But You could always look for organic cereals in grocery stores like Whole Foods Market and Trader Joe's. Trader Joe's is supposedly very good and economical too.

I buy Organic milk from "The Organic Cow" sold in Stop and shop. I get cheese and yogurt made by Horizon. These are also available from the company called Stoneyfield Farms. I buy Stop and Shops Organic brand Nature's Promise Butter.
Horizon has low fat chocolate milk which my kids love. They come in single serve cartons which is very easy to send to school. These are a little expensive. But I buy them in BJ's which makes it a little cheaper. I dont give them a lot of juice, apparently all the juices have a lot of sugar and a lot of high fructose corn syrup which is another thing to be avoided.

I looked in to the Organic Milk and the other milk which says No growth hormone could not come up with a good explanation for that. They both say the smae thing. May be someoneelse could explain the difference. But I can vouch for the difference in taste from Organic milk and the other milk with no growth hormones. I have used both and really like Organic milk.
    I hope this helps.

    Regards,
    Jothi.

    Dear Jhothi,
Is this horizon brand available in Costco or Sam's club? Don't have BJ's nearby.

    Dear friends,
Which brand of juices do you send to your kids to school ? All brands are saying this is 100% juice no preservatives, but they definitely add sugar syrup &something else.
When they are at home no problem we can give home made juices, smoothies or anything..My daughter usually takes 2 packs of J daily.,so little worried Please share your views.,

    Hi All,

Mohana , I think Horizons or some other brand Organic milk is available in Costco. Cannot recall.

Ami, i think Kashi Organic Promise is one brand of cereal you can try. Yes Trader Joes and whole foods do have them. Another brand is Barbara's Bakery, organic cereal ( this i have seen in TJs as well as the other grocery stores.)

And Mohana, the Diff between Organic Milk and the reg Milk, the cow's feed is also Organic in the sense no enhanced nutrient added to the feed to produce more milk. Since the milk output is less , the OM costs more per gallon. The reg milk , even though it states that there are no RBst hormones and other stuff, the cow feed I think has something to boost the supply. Hence the diff. This I read in some website long ago, and cannot recall the name. Let me google and see if i can find it.

    Mohana,

I send plain good old H2O. Have tried the fruit flavored ones( nestle) and my son seems to like it. I am in the No juice camp unless it is freshly made at home.
