Hi,

As far as marriage is concerned, the matching of the chart is an important task; but most of the parents do not attach much importance to this item of work and even most of the Astrologers use to undertake the compatibility issue, based on the Moon sign and the Janma Nakshtra of both the boy and girl; but actually this process plays only 10% of matching and the remaining relates to the study relating to longevity, progeny, attachment between two, chances for more than one marriage and /or widowhood and finally the balancing of the dosha is a very important aspect.

Based on the birth details furnished by you, your sister belongs to Pisces Ascendant, who is in retrograde motion and placed in the 2nd house. His 7th house, house of spouse is occupied by the house lord Mercury and associated with Ketu.

From Moon sign, the 8th house is occupied by Mars along with the house lord Sun and also the Venus and this house is aspected by Saturn and also Jupiter.

In the case of her husband, he belongs to Libra Ascendant and the 7th lord Mars is afflcited by the nodes and the 8th house is occupied by Rahu and the Lagna lord as well as 8th lord Venus in its house of debilitation.

In the case of male the Venus should not be afflicted and in the case of female, the Jupiter should not be afflicted. The debilitation of Venus is not good in the case of her husband.

As far as the dosha is balancing; ie, the girl's 7th ketu is balanced with that of boy's Rahu in the 8th house.

As far as Mars in the 8th house of the girl from the Moon sign, the boy's Mars in the 2nd house, asepcting the 8th house can be considered as balancing.

The compatibility based on the Moon sign and Janma nakstra is good; however, both the girl and the boy belong to the same nakshtra, i.e., Uttarashadha, owned by Sun. The marriage in the case of same nakshtra, in the case of certain nakstras can be done; of which this nakshtra is also included; but in such cases, the boy's nakshtra should precede the Janma nakshthra of the girl, i.e., if the girl's Janma Nakstra of the girl is fourth pada, then the boy's nakshtra should be either 1st, or 2nd or 3rd pada; but in the present case, both of them belong to the same pada, ie. pada 3 of the nakshthra; which is not good. The boy's Janma nakshthra is 3 deg 50 minutes in the sign of Capricorn; whereas the girl's Janma nakshthra is 3 deg 32 minutes, which is not good.

Also, the Venus of the boy happens to be Virgo; whereas the venus sign of girl happens to be Leo. Venus is responsible for love and romance. Normally, the Venus of the should be very closer from the Venus sign of the boy. But here this is very contrary, i.e., from the Venus sign of the girl is 12th from the Venus sign of the boy. This will lack love and romance between two. For example, if the girl makes a call to her DH, he will not immediately pick up the phone or even he picks up the phone, he may utter very few words and there may not be any romantic conversation between two.

On the date of marriage, i.e, 29th May, 2015, he was running the Rahu dasa and Ketu Bhukti - normally, the marriage during such period should be avoided because both the Rahu and Ketu are separators.

Ofcourse, this period is over and at present, he is running the Rahu dasa and Venus Bhukti from 02.01.2016 and it will be over by 01.01.2019. Hence, his running dasa period is not so bad.

While coming to your sister case, she is also running the same Rahu dasa and at present, she is running the Rahu dasa and Mercury Bhukti from 14.07.2015 and it will be over by 29.01.2018. Both the dasa lord Rahu and Bhukti lord Mercury are in direct opposite, this period is also not bad for her.

The dasa lord Rahu and the Bhukti lord Mercury are in 6th and 8th position from each other; which is not good.

This is one of the main reasons for the suffering of your sister and also due to the reasons narrated above.

As per the placement of stars in the Navamsa chart of your sister, her husband will be a follower of Dharma and any initiative may bring reconciliation.

Hence, her parents or any blood relations in India may try to do lit ghee lamp to Goddess Durga on every Friday, between 10.30 AM and 12 Noon, followed by a simple archana in her name, her janma Nakshthra and also the Janma rasi, which will nullify the ill effects of the dasa lord Rahu.

Apart from this, once in a month, her parents or blood relatives may offer milk to Lord Shivalingam either on Saturday or Tuesday in her name, which is also extremely good on various counts.

However, it is advised that it is not advisable to use any harsh language either with the boy or his family members, for the time being, and the girl may be advised to maintain a low profile with the boy.

She may be advised to be on fast on every Saturday, if her health permits, preferably from the sun rise to sun set, according to the family custom and also help the poor people; especially the marriage of the daughter or the poor people to the extent possible, especially donating for Mangal sutra, which is good for the girl and she may use sesame oil in her pooja.

Before this marriage was fixed, Parents have consulted astrologers and have done detailed matching. We have been given written notes too, everybody said- the charts of the 2 is exactly the same and that this is a very good match, they will remain happy after marriage and we should proceed with this proposal. After that only, we proceeded. But, it proves to be something else.

We will definitely follow you. Lighting Ghee lamp infront of Maa durga and milk over shiva lingam(this is done by our father every Monday since the day we were born-almost 30 years).

All the astrological terms, I do not understand well, but, thank you for letting us know of the facts. I could see some good and some bad effects, in total.

But, acharya ji, do you have any confidence that this marriage is going to continue? Is she ever going to be happy in her married life? She is trying really hard. If after all the hard work, the marriage still do not sustain, it will really break her down.
I am afraid to ask but, I would like to know if the girl or the boy has divorce or 2 marriages in their charts or any such unfortunate things?

Exactly. You are 100% right that they do not connect with each other in a romantic way- may be they do very rarely. Is there any chant or anything that the girl can do so that her husband remains calm and tries to connect romantically, treat her like a wife not a stranger and behaves good. Behaviour wise, the girl is doing all the efforts that is required at this time to save her marriage. Until and unless, the boy also tries to save the marriage, it is very difficult to do. That is taking the girl into depression. Both need to work towards it, i think. It cannot be done if only one of them puts all the effort.

The boy behaves as an atheist. After the big long fight(without any reason), We(girl's family) had to get into the situation, make him sit calmly and explain him "marriage is a commitment, you need to respect it. You cannot marry today and divorce tomorrow. You need to give it some time" and all that kind of things. He is quiet now but, not behaving normally. His mind flips very often too. Now, he is good, after 5mins he can talk about divorce.

The boy is also very very short tempered, stubborn, over reacts and makes the situation as worse as possible. Acharya ji, what do you think, is this marriage going to work? Is it possible to develope some good (or normal) behaviour in the boy ?

In the chart of your husband, who belongs to Gemini Lagna, the 5th house, the house of progeny is occupied by Moon and also the Rahu and the 5th lord Venus has gone to 8th house, which is not good and directly aspected by Saturn, which will delay the event.

Also, the Jupiter, the significator for progeny is afflicted by Rahu and Ketu.

Thus in the chart of your husband, the 5th house, 5th lord and the puthrahara Jupiter are afflicted for which I had recommended to a visit to Kalahasthy; ofcourse you might have gone there and done necessary remedial measures.

At present, your husband is running the dasa of Mercury, being the lord of Lagn aand also the 4th house and Bhukti of Jupiter, who is the lord of 7th and 10th houses. This period is good.

Thank you for your kind and detailed reply.

I do not want comment anything done by the Astrologers. They could have given some indepth consideration. There are other issues in the chart of the boy, about which the Astrologers should have given some consideration.

What is done cannot be undone.

It is the duty of the Astrologer who approaches him to tell good things only, even though there had been set backs in the charts, especially in the charts of the female natives. Hence, normally, I do not encourage for divorce and to the extent possible, I use to recommend for saving the marriage.

Normally, in any case, when the 7th house / 7th lord is influence by Saturn and / or Rahu, it is not good for long terms relationship. Similarly, when there is a combination of Mars and Ketu, especially, in the Lagna, 2nd house, 4th house, 7th house, 8th house or 12th house, it is not good for long term relationship. Of the above two, even if any one combination is prevalent, it will lead to use of harsh language, misunderstanding; even some times, arguments, controversies and even some time physical assault by either of the spouse.

In the chart of the boy, who happens to be Libra native, the 7th house is directly aspected by the Saturn, who is placed in the Lagna; which is not good. Also Saturn is an eunuch planet and his aspects on the 7th house may decrease his desire for sex.

Also, in his chart, the 2nd house is occupied by Mars and Ketu, Mars is placed in his own sign, which happens to be fiery sign and the Ketu, who also acts like Mars will increase their volatile nature. Though the placement in its own house is not bad; these two planets are directly aspected by Rahu from the 8th house.

The 2nd house among other things relate to family / expansion of family and also it relates to tongue. When the 2nd house is occupied by the malefic planets, it will affect the family life, expansion of family, i.e., birth of the children and use of very harsh language. The use of harsh language will be high for the simple reason that the 2nd house as well as the 2nd lord is highly influenced by malefic planets and this will be his nature and this cannot be changed; unless the individual himself tries to change himself. In as much as he is running the Rahu dasa, it is doubtful, whether he may change his attitude in the near future.

The Astrologers, who studied the compatibility should have taken into consideration and tried to conveyed to the parents of the girl

In the chart of the girl, the 7th house is occupied by Mercury and Ketu, both of them are eunuch planets. The 7th house is the Ascendant of her spouse. This means that her husband may not be having much inclination towards sexual life. When there is absence of love and romance from the husband, then how one could expect any bed pleasures.

Inspite of all these things, as per the Navamsa chart of the girl, while considering from her 7th house (representing spouse), the 5th lord Mercury and the 9th lord Saturn are together in the 9th house itself, which is a supportive factor for survival / saving of the marriage.

Hence, I would advise you that you may try to the remedial measures suggested and try to be calm quite for some and the time can decide.
