    Hi,

After a long gap im coming to indusladies. well we will have unprotected Ic just within 6 days of my first period and the last 6 days before my next period. Usually it works and we were safe. We were first using regular contraceptives, but after a long it become alergy for me using condoms, its itchy and sometimes small lumps in my inside skin area, so we opted this first and last 6 days for Unprotected Ic.

The problem was today is my 21st day of my last period, and we had unprotected Ic, just 7 days to go for my regular period, I'm afraid will I become pregnant, we are not planned now.

My last period date: 7th Feb.

    Can anybody answer for me?

Latex allergy is very rare, with a new type of rubber used in premium condoms. Durex is one such brand using this special type of skin & mucous membrane friendly rubber.

Just smell the rubber in Kohinoor condom and then smell in Durex. You can easily differentiate between the two types of latex. With former, the smell of latex does not disappear for a long time after use. With later, it just disappears.

Try Durex next time. You won't develop allergic symptoms. It is five times costly than the other condoms, but worth it.

The timing of ovulation is 14 days prior to your day of bleeding. You can not predict when will your next first day of bleeding. Going by the same logic, you can not predict your day of ovulation also, by the calendar method. Any calculation would only be approximate.

Hence, this day calculation business using calendar method is not worth it. There is always a risk of getting pregnant, as ovulation day is unpredictable.

OP...there are other methods of contraception other than condoms. If you do not want a child at any cost then this method of counting days is risky and irresponsible.

Have you tried pills,IUD or some other methods?Read up and talk to a doctor about these options.

Counting is not always effective as there are women who ovulate when they are aroused.

FYI for those who don't understand latex allergies: latex allergy can be fatal so anyone having that has to be hypervigilant. The allergic reaction will not stop until there is medical intervention.
