    Hi All,

I am a young girl of marriageable age and my family is looking for proposals for me. I would like to ask you all to suggest something I can do on my end to help expedite the process. I live away from my family in US so I cant go to any temple or perform remedies requiring items like flowers etc. But I am willing to say any stotra / mantra / pooja.

At the moment I have decided to say this daily:

    1. Once a day Rukmini Sandesh : Rukmini Sandesa|Krsna Dvaipayana Vyasa|Canto 10 |Lord Krishna | Vaishnav Songs

    2. Once a day Siddha Mangala Stotra

Can I add anything else to this? Please also let me know if I am doing anything wrong.

I am also keeping Monday fast so I cannot do any more vratas.

    Thanks and God Bless,

    Hello,
There are various sources back home in India which you can seek refuge to bring in divine intervention for getting married or realize any other desires, say for better health or having a baby.

You have to seek what rhymes for you in your heart. Often when you begin Anusthana with self-imposed rules you get clues through dreams or visions regarding the manifestation that's on its way to you.

I know someone who simply did likhita japa of the shiva panchakshari mantra and the guy who came to see her agreed to marry her within a week. Not saying writing a mantra did it but it could have been a trigger that brought a perfect alignment between her desire and her belief. But if you firmly rely upon a deity and do anusthana with certain rules for X number of days you can get married. You can take up anusthana of Lalithambika, or Lord Ganesha. The source where your desires are fulfilled is one and the same(names could be different).

There's a saint called Shri Raghavendra swamiji who took voluntary samadhi about 400 odd years ago in Mantralaya which's in Kurnool District in AP. He said he will stay there a total of 700 years from the day he took samadhi to distribute his excess good karma for people who want bhukti and mukti. What you need is faith, trust, shraddha and patience when you begin an Anusthana requesting him to bless you with a desired husband. If you want details I can share with you. Please message me. There are other sources too including the above which I have combined a few years for doing well in studies, etc. These days I don't ask for material gains but I thought I could respond to your post to see if I could be of any help.

The second part(first was divine intervention) is how you flow your energy through your thoughts. You see, if you read a certain upanishad it becomes very clear that this universe doesn't become real unless you 'THINK' . 'Alochanaakyam tapaha' Everything began with a thought. Thoughts become things. What we are today is due to the sum total of the thoughts we have been thinking which give us impulses to act and the acts that followed those thoughts for ages over several sojourns. So how do you do your part in addition to the Anusthana? You state your objective very clearly, in first person present tense .You can even create a story of a moment in time, a capsule of your future life as to how it looks to you where you to become what you want(in this case an ideal wife), you get what you want(an ideal husband who you clearly define how he should be) and you do the things an adarsh wife would do with her husband. This must be written in first person present tense as if it's already happening NOW, not 5 or 10 years from now. You see majority on earth live in a Have, Do, Be world. Say if they want to be rich; in their mind the sequence of thoughts runs like IF I have so much money, I can DO this and this so I can BE wealthy. The reality is that creation in this universe proceeds the opposite way.
You must first BECOME who you want to be so you can DO the things you want to do so you HAVE or GET what you want.
So write up a clear, concise target of what you want as per what I wrote above and take a few minutes in the morning just after you wake up when your mind is a clean slate and a few minutes before you go to bed; take deep breaths to bring your brain beats to alpha state(14-16 bpm; in conscious state brain beats at 18-20 bpm)and visualize/imagine you being married with a relaxed attitude. Don't force it upon yourself or don't use your will. Imagine as if you are taking pleasure from it like you would go to a movie. These two things I mentioned above, has always, always worked for me to get what I have wanted regardless of what I heard or was told from people around me.
One more thing - please dont share what you are doing and why you are doing until you have manifested what you want. YOu don't want your valuable energy to be diluted. Besides you dont want any negative feedback from unbelievers around you.
    Hope this helps
    JS

I am unable to PM you.

Thank you so much for your response to my thread. It is one of the most beautifully explained posts I have read to date. I have done anushtana and begun to pray to a form of Dattatreya. Just as you responded, I was saying with strong conviction to my roommate that God will definitely bless me with a good husband and an excellent married life. I then went on to complete prayers as per my sankalp.

I believe that God communicates with us in a number of ways, and your response is God's way of communicating with me. Please do guide me in any way you see suitable to help with my request. I will follow since I'm convinced that Dattatreya is communicating with me through you. I am interested in learning more about Raghavendra Swamy. All I know about him is that he was a Madhava saint and a devotee of Lord Vishnu.

Regarding your second point, I have read so many books about the law of attraction. I have already listened to several lectures on this topic of how your life is a perfect reflection of what you think. I was not entirely sure of this philosophy since it contradicts the law of karma. However, when I read your explanation, it makes sense to me. I can receive only when I am in alignment with what I am eligible to receive, which is ultimately decided by my karmas. Is my understanding correct?

It is wonderful to be guided and advised by you.
    Regards,
    MLP1

    Dear OP,

I can understand your concern well.

I too am of marriageble age and have been doing some of the remedies you mentioned together with so many others for almost 3 long years with no result!

I want to tell you clearly that chanting numerous mantras, doing pujas ans starving yourself certain days of the week is not going to help.

When you want to achieve something, you need to work on it. I am sure you are well educated and independent. Invest your time and energy in building your career.
Are you a little overweight? Then try to lose weight, if not atleast workout regularly and work on your diet to maintain your good health. Groom yourself and make yourself presentable.

Are you already searching for your groom? Register with the well known matrimonial sites and also check for local brureaus in your locality. Sometimes they have better profiles than online sites.

Do you socialise? Try hanging out with friends and try to make new friends.
If you are shy and don't like hanging out with a huge circle of friends than join the nearest Hindu temple group and your local community in USA.

Today it is just about money and success. If you have money i.e a high paying job than any boy will willingly come to you. He will even talk his parents into it and ignore all horoscope, etc etc issues.

Since you are in America it is already a plus point.

Lastly, I want to say no man deserves the pain you are wanting to undertake to find him.
Instead make yourself eligible in every sense that a man starts praying to have you as his wife.

Men are seldom attracted to pious and virtuous women like you in these times unfortunately.

Sorry for being in the face, just wanted to help and give you a different perspective into this.

Thanks for your response. Perhaps you misunderstood my question. I do not have any of the issues you mentioned. I am in fact looking for some sort of divine guidance in choosing my life partner. I have read that there are tried and tested ways of ensuring one gets married to the right person and leads a happy life. This is why I asked this question.

I have no doubt that at the right time, God will present the partner chosen for me. I want to reference the message passed on by @JShreenath above. I think we should all apply this divine guidance.

You mentioned that you have been looking for a partner for 3 years. I'm sure all your prayers and efforts will bear fruit one day, and that you will look back and be happy that God made you wait, since it was worth your while :)

    Hi there
I apologize. I need to find out how to turn my PM on.
Lord Dattatreya happens to be my maternal uncles family deity. From the town they lived back home, my great grandfather had a Dattatreya idol sculpted from Marble from Kashi and installed years and years ago. My uncle goes to Ganagapur every year.
If you do Anusthana of Sri Raghavendra Swamiji with 100% dedication for X number of days with certain self-imposed rules, he typically appears in your dream. This is something I personally witnessed in my own life; not to mention my mother, our neighbors and a plethora of people where I grew up. I studied his stotra by heart when I was in high school and recite it once every day. I'm an Adwaiti by background. I believe we humans should be free to use whatever we want as long as it doesn't violate rights of others. At the end of the day, there's only one source but names are many.
If you are a devotee of Lord Dattatreya, have you heard of Shridhar Swamijee?
Thanks so much for your replies. Never lose hope and always be positive. Do your part from the physical/spiritual/mental world point of view and offer everything to the Divine(Ishwaraarapan)for verily we can be nothing but instruments in the hands of the divine. Each day, at the end of the day, repeat 'Kaayena-vaacha manasaiyendriaiyah buddyamtmanaavaa prakruteswabahaavaat karomi-yadyat sakalamparsasmai naaraayaneti samarpayaami" By doing this we can learn internal detachement Shri Krishna teaches in the Gita. With each step or even breath we take, we are killing living beings, be it an insect or a germ. So it's impossible to not commit paap with or without knowledge. So an ideal way is detachement from the fruit of our actions and Ishwarpranidhaan.
Even with your quest regarding finding an ideal husband, not just a husband mind you, you have to be internally detached but do everything you can what's in your control. This is true with anything we desire. So clearly define what you want, clearly define who do you want to be, how do you want to look, how do you want to feel and write a story around it in first person present tense; a short succinct and clear story; once you feel good about what you wrote by not feeling any internal resistance or blockers, you begin living that story in your internal world through imagery( I have mp3 files I use for my goals which automatically puts me in alpha for visualization).
We can't create abundance in our physical world by seeing, feeling and experiencing lack in our physical world. What manifests out in the physical world must manifest in our internal world first. It's the law. So going back to that Upanishad(I can tell more about the upanishad itself later) 'sa tapotapyata'. Without thinking first there's no creation. Spiritually speaking, what you see or feel in the external world in nothing but a by product of how you flow your energy in your inner world and the inner world to me is real but it depends upon a person's viewpoint and how/she looks at this universe.
    'Vyaharikadhristheyam mayaavidyenachaanyata'
    'tattwa dhristhestunaastewa tattwamevaadikevalam'

If you look at life from business/vyaharik point of view, then aatma vidya/brahma vidya become unreal
If you look at this life from tattwic point of view, then tattwa/spiritual/aadhyaatmic stuff is only real.
It's one's choice as to what one picks. To me one results in sorrow no matter what because everything but ONE THING in this world is temporary. By temporary, I mean, that which has a beginning and an ending. As long as something begins there's an end; the concept of something ending only arises when something begins; but how can something end if it never began but always existed? So the other choice in my point of view leads to shoka bhang nirunkush trupti.
    Have a good one

    Hello again,
I read the intro-message I received when I opened an account here. It says I can't participate in PMs until I post 10 responses or start a thread. I suppose I will be eligible soon.....:)

Sure thing. I can share with you some of the rules that helps intensify sadhana whether you are doing it from sakama or nishkam bhava. I will share with you something special about an avatar of Lord Dattatreya. I will also share with you at least three stories related to anusthans pertaining to Shri Raghavendra swamiji but there are many many of them.

As to the law of attraction, it's a wonderful piece of information but just understanding 'like attracts like' is not enough IMHO. You see if you imagine a horizontal stick and one end represents having something and the other end, represents the lack of that something. As long as your thoughts are pure(pure in this context means 'no contradiction'), say on that end about having it, by law it must come to you. The other end is self-explanatory. In majority of us our vibrations are 'mucked-up'(sorry for the slang lol). Say if someone wants a Mustang(having a mustang is one end of the stick; not having it is the other end in this example) they usually say, 'Oh I really love that red mustang but it's too darn expensive' So they end up in holding pattern because those energy vibrations they create are mixed. But equally bad or even worse is trying to push something away from our lives.

Say someone who's addicted to smoking wants to quit, instead of shifting their focus to something that doesn't involve smoking they say 'I don't want to smoke, I want to quit smoking'. First these words we use are very powerful. The very word smoke or don't want to smoke springs a nice, picture of that cigarette in the hand or lips of the person who wants to quit; this means one more fresh imprint which reinforces that behavior. Second thing here is wanting to exclude smoking from one's experience. By the very act of trying to force smoking out of their experience by focusing on the exclusion, they include it in their experience and more of the same comes to them. We live in an inclusive universe IMO. YOu can't exclude something; by trying to exclude something, we begin to focus on it and include it in our experience. Parabrahma or Mother or both(one and the same to me; ekamevadwiteeyam brahma; but Mother makes it easier to get what we want.......:)) has created a non-judgemental universe which doesn't judge the appropriate-ness or the inapppropriate-ness of someone's desire; this universe simply responds to our vibrations. So if you don't want to think of the color blue, you have to shift it to something else say green, instead of saying I don't want to think of the color blue. This one clear distinction made a huge difference to me when I read those books on LOA but they were already in the Upanishads carefully worded.
    Thanks
    JS

    @JShreenath

    Thank for for your response.

Here's a little bit about me. I was a devotee of Lalitha Devi and Sai Baba. A few months back, I had a dream about Narasimha Saraswati. Since I hadn't heard of him or seen him before, I looked him up. That is how I got totally involved in Datta worship. I like to read and have always been interested in spiritual scriptures. I read about all the Datta avatars and the the Guru Charitra, Sai Satcharitra and Sripada SriVallabha Charitamrutam.

I have not heard of Shreedhar Swami but just looked him up and read about his life. The instance about him mixing his favorite sweet with cow-dung before eating especially calls out how much control he had over his senses and desires.

Regarding Sri Raghavendra Swamy, I would be blessed to know more, and look forward to the stories you mentioned you would share. I want to reiterate that I believe He is trying to tell me something through you. My reasoning is that I had been praying to Dattatreya for a while. Then, out of the blue, you responded to an old, pretty much dead thread that I had started. And the richness of your response blew my mind (including your wealth of knowledge and command over the language).

I have a question for you about the anusthana. Let's say I decide to take an anusthana before Sri Raghavendra Swamy to recite a prayer daily. Does my prayer have to be his stotra, or should it be a Vishnu stotra (since Sri Raghavendra Swamy is essentially Prahlad, Lord Vishnu's Param Bhakt)? I also ask this question since Lord Balaji is my kuladevata. I'm sorry if I'm overthinking this but I'm trying to understand the direction that Lord Dattatreya is giving to my worship.

Your thoughts about the Law of Attraction are very clear and make perfect sense. However, could you also explain to me how the law of attraction fits into the equation of the universe, when karma is governing the existence of every living being?

Regarding my initial question about finding a good husband, I will employ the method you described. It is also a fun exercise, besides being extremely productive :)

I hope your PM service gets activated soon. I've said this before, but I am extremely happy to have made an acquaintance with you.

    Regards,
    MLP1
