    Hello ILites,

I am on and off in IL. Not a major contributor but have gained lot of knowledge on IVF and TTC treatments and I am greatly thankful to this forum.

I was on my 8th IVF/ICSI cycle which failed too. Now I am considering to stop my TTC journey here and accept the fact that I wont be able to conceive.

The other option is to try out another cycle with donor egg as my doctor is suggesting. I am responding very poorly to stimulation injections now so a full self cycle is out of question. My DH has low count, low motility.

I am not writing this to demotivate fellow ILites on their TTC journey. I pray for all and lots of baby dust to all the TTC ladies here.

I am writing to get some honest suggestions and opinions. Your suggestions would help me plan my few months ahead and not leave a TTC journey with a thought that I didnt do the last possible option that was available.

For reference, few details on my TTC history is given in this thread.

    Thanks.

    Hi amicably
Can totally understand your situation.i m also currently into my 6 th ivf .i have done 2 frozen cycle too.
My prob is implantation so my doctor suggested test on uterus skin.
In your case it seems low Amh.i will suggest to try accumpu and consider one cycle as i have heard it helps for low redponder to stimulation.
I know considering donor is hard decision.....

I'm adoctor but not a fertility specialist so Icant advice much but I suggest you ask your doc about accupuncture and also consider about taking DHEA and coq10 which help in improving quality of eggs.

also ask your doc about co-culturing eggs with AH [assisted hatching] ....dont know if in your case it would help or not but do ask and see.

Your DH's low countand low motility of sperms are adding up to your complications but I hope he's on treatment too?

Has your doc put him on IntraCytopasmicSpermInjection [ICSI] which along with IVF will give better results.

Lots of good wishesto you. may you have your lil one in your arms sooner.

Coq10 is good. Check with your doctor about DHEA. I had to stop it after side effects. Also, is your TSH around 1.0 or so? This is important while TTC. I'm sorry if this is repetitive. Wish you good luck.

big hug to you..we can understand how exausting it is to go through so many rounds of treatments. not sure how long you have been trying or your age but i think it wouldnt be bad idea to take a break for sometime. concentrate on your health , take long vacation and try to relax. spend some time away from these treatments and its related stress.

After this do your research. There are so many new treatments going on in this field. i dont know if doctors have tried those for you like NK cell testing, saline ultrasounds before transfer , acupuncture, banking cycles, embroys genetic testing , surrogacy, and many more. do your analysis on this and see if there is anything which wasnt tried and could be tried.

To stop or continue tratments will be your and your husbands personal decision. I just pray to see a happy notes from you soon. may god bless you soon.

Thanks all for your suggestions, support and prayers.

I have been on TTC since 7+ years and am 33 years now. So, I can say we figured out the DH problem pretty early and started off with IVF without spending more time on trying out naturally.

I had been under DHEA - Previously Stimugest and later Ferpill-F (still continuing) after I changed my doctor. CoQ10 was suggested to DH.

My AMH dropped from 4.3 something which I did after by 3rd cycle to 1.9 something before by 8th cycle. Hence low response to stimulation.

T3, T4, TSH levels are in normal range. Haven't tested recently so dont know exact figures.

DH was on CoQ10, Ferpill-F for count, motility issues. It does show improvement when on these medications.. but he isnt regular at it as he feels medications doesn't help :(

This is the 3rd doctor I had approached. To both the doctors - current and previous, I asked about NK Cell test, but they had put me on intralipid before ET instead saying it will rule out NK cell issue if there is any.

All the cycles have been ICSI, the last one was IMSI which is more advanced than ICSI.

I dont think embryo genetic testing is allowed in India. At least that's what my previous doctor said. According to him that would mean playing with the already few embryos that we get so he was not of the opinion to go for embryo genetic testing.

ERA test came out to be P+5 receptive. And the last cycle was done as per ERA result.

Also did a genital TB test which was in negative. Doctor put me on GCSF injections which is given the IUI way thrice before my last ET. They say it helps in lining and also in case of repeated failure. But no luck still :(

There are two issues we could figure out in last few cycles - I suffer from implantation failure issue. Also from my 7th cycle (where ET didnt happen) we figured out that even Grade A embryos does not reach the blastocyst stage.

I will be going to doctor in few days once the failure feeling settles. Will be asking for NK cell and genetic testing on embryos.

Please suggest if any other test should I ask for?

Again, thanks all for your help, prayers and suggestions.. it makes me stay in positive frame of mind.
