    I have always had sensitive skin (I am really fair, more of a light-olive tone), but when I would go for facial threading, I would get minimal redness.

    In 2013 I went to threading salon at salon A, and it was fine. No noticeable redness

    Most of 2014, I didn't go for any threading, etc because I was in deep depression (see other posts).

    EDIT: Does pregnancy play a part? Because I was pregnant (for the first time) before having miscarriage at 12 weeks?

    Nov 2014 I went for threading at salon B near my office, and I had redness that lasted several days, but it wasn't as if I had to hide my face or anything.

    Dec 2014 I went for threading at salon C (which is totally out of my way) and the lady was very professional, took her time. Even thought I had minimal redness, she applied toner and my skin was fine.

    April 2014 I went for threading at salon B, and got threading by a different lady. The redness was so aweful I had to apply yogurt to my face (luckily I take yogurt to work). I thought redness might be because hair is too much since I didn't do threading for many months.

    Yesterday (this is now a month later) I went for threading to salon A, and when I felt the thread, it was quite light and I said to myself, "at last, the threading will be good, no redness". But the redness came few minutes later. The lady was very concerned and applied cooling gel and gave facial massage, but it didn't seem to help.

    I was practically in tears and embarrassed because my face was so red and swollen. I had to apply a thick layer of plain yogurt (luckily I take yogurt to work), and hide in the ladies room for half an hour before I can show my face to anyone at office.

    Now, my face looks like it has slight acne.

    Why did skin turn so sensitive? I am rather disturbed by this.

    Try to use some home remedies to reduce facial hair. Avoiding threading will be good idea.

    Perhaps I can bring some soft thread to the salon and ask them to use it.

    Honestly, I've been going to the same place two years back and didn't have this problem. Just wondering if pregnancy changed my hormones?

    What would be awesome is trying threading at home, or other home remedies. At least I know when to stop and I am at my own leisure (instead of having to return to office in an hour!)

    @chennaiexpress

    Hormones do play major role on skin condition. When I was using pills I use to burn a lot even at home. Only after stopping them completely I was back to normal.

    Home remedies do work few times but they are good option if you're very sensitive to threading. Applying Aloe gel do help in reducing redness of skin.
