It looks like a humming bird...it is the size of an adult humming bird...but is a baby....it doesn't yet have a tail.
Awww....it's so cute. If I can download the pic, I can post it in a birding group on FB where I can get help identifying it.
Would love that Satchi....hugsmiley Just fed it a bit of liquidized egg yolk bread crumb mixed with water using a syringe. It pooped twice. It feels like I have got a new third baby.
YM, It does look like a baby sparrow. I know you can do some google search to find out how to take care but I did anyways and found this interesting Baby Starling Care: precise information on caring for wild baby birds It says it can be a fledgling since it is ready to fly else you could have searched for the nest or made a nest for it. Some interesting information in that article. We often find little babies on the grass and fortunately since they are so small, always dropped them back into the nest
I tried looking for the nest Srama...but it was getting dark...and the bushes are very thick.I tried looking for adult birds ...or hear sounds, but nothing. Kids were trying to touch it feed it big leaves....and there was a tomcat lurking around.Had to get it.I will go to that spot tomorrow early morning. and see...... Thanks...that was the site I got too on first try.
