    Re: Seven Deities-Seven Shlokas-Seven Days

    Dear ChitVish,

I love the "Seven" series. It amazes me to think of the number of scholarly and spiritual people that incarnated on our land and made it so holy. And the more amazing thing is how you take special effort to bring them all to us in such a nice way.
I love the Koluru Pathigam and Kamba Ramayan slokams. I hear that the Koluru Pathigam can be chanted whenever you feel compelled to start something at a so called "not so auspicious" moment or you are not sure of the "Rahu Kaalam" or "Kari naal". Is that true?

Also, one more request, could you please tell me what the sources of the other slokams are. I know the Kandar Anubuthi/Kamba Ramayan and Koluru Pathigam slokas. I am not sure of the others. Let me know whenever time permits.

    Thanks sooo much
    Vidya

Re: Seven Deities-Seven Shlokas-Seven Days - Thank you

    Dear C,

Thank you for posting these wonderful slokas on my request. I have printed them out and I started with 'Saturday - sloka'. They really come handy.

Many days with the little one around I just get time to light vilaku either in the morning or evening only. I don't get all the time to recite many slokas. Now with these set of slokas, I will quickly recite one sloka for one deity atleast everyday. I'm sure this will give me immense satisfaction of complete prayer.

    Thanks a lot.

    Malathy

    My dear Malathy !

Thankyou very much for your prompt F B.
I fully understand a young mother's predicament & appreciate your interest in chanting atleast one shloka daily in what little time you get.
I will next post நவகிரஹ துதி, perhaps tomorrow, on your request.
    Love,
    Chithra.

    My dear Friends !

All those, who have taken printouts from the pdf files already, please make the following correction.
    கலையாத கல்வியும் instead of கலையாத வயதும்.
I am withdrawing the pdf file & want to wait for kb2000 to log in & do the correction. I have done the correction in my posting.
I profusely thank Twinmom, for promptly pointing out the error. She is always my "conscience-keeper" when it comes to shlokas. Such is her interest & proficiency ! Thankyou, my friend.
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Dear Vidya !

The amman shlokam is from Abhirami ammai pathikam. The first is a Ganapathi Thuthi, I took from a book on Gaanapathyam.
I do not have the correct source for other shlokas. Over the years, I have been collecting the tamil shlokas from various books, magazines etc & in some of them, I have not marked the source.
Yes, I too have heard that KOlaru pathikam, nullifies the negative effect of a less auspicious time. The very meaning of the shlokam conveys it.
If anybody wants, I can post it fully.
Thanks for the interest you are showing.
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Wonderful Posting, Chitra

    Dear Chitra,

This is a wonderful posting - It's like one Capsule encapsulating different elements of vitamins, giving us the advantage of each vitamin.

I have heard of special deity vazhipaadhu for each day. However to see all sloka's for each of them together excites me.

Among the one's that u posted, Sakthi slokam and Aanjaneyar 1st slokam are the only one's known to me, the rest are new to me. So will learn them and include them in my prayers.

    Love,
    Preethi

I will answer all your doubts raised in P M, tomorrow.
    Thankyou for the F B.
    Love,
